Baklovah Bakery & Sweets

This is the only place I’ll go for tiramisu, it’s the best. I’ve recently tried their Turkish coffee, and it is amazing. Of course, I add a bit of sugar in the raw, some cinnamon and oat milk, but even by itself is a great taste. Definitely a great place to drink some coffee, have some sweets and chill with a friend(s). They also have gelato, which I’ve yet to try but I’m excited to.

Baklovah catered the desserts at our wedding in November 2023. Baklovah is not a traditional wedding cake bakery but we loved their desserts so much that we would not settle for anything less. The staff at Baklovah went above and beyond to make our dessert dreams come true and we had so much fun building the menu with them. Saeed from the bakery is a gem of a human being who was responsive to all of our requests and made the experience feel so personal. He designed such a beautiful cutting cake for us while maintaining the same quality of cake that you get fresh from the bakery. I am not even a "cake person" but when I tried Baklovah's pistachio and biscoff cakes I became a cake person. I am embarrassed to say that I have dreams about their cake and spent the whole week after our wedding eating the leftovers. The quality of Baklovah's cakes are so much higher than any other wedding cakes we sampled that rely too much on fondant and extravagance. The guests at our wedding were obsessed with the desserts from Baklovah. They even helped us with gluten free Macarons for our guests that ended up wowing us all! Some guests told us they had 4 slices of cake, one of each flavor. Many other guests asked us the name of the bakery and whether we had any leftovers. We are so glad that unlike a wedding cake bakery where you can only eat a frozen slice on your anniversary, we can go order a cake whenever we stop by the bakery! And we will! Thank you, Baklovah, for making our wedding extra special and sweet.

Turkish delight was very nice and had a generous selection. Bakalava, traditionally made with pistachios or walnuts and perfect little nests filled with pistachios. 😋 Beautiful desserts and cookies! We also got a chocolate mousse bomb and a dozen French style cookies. Great little bakery stop if you are organizing a baby shower or party. They also have gorgeous Turkish tea sets available for sale. I have added photos.

Full disclosure. I didn't eat here. My friends did. The place smelled delicious. There are tons of treats to fill any desire. (To an extent) The staff was friendly, very helpful, and answered all my questions. I was told they offered a gluten-free macaroon, and the creme Brule was gluten-free, but it does share the same space for gluten items. So there may be a chance of cross contamination for those who's need to know. The store was kept exceptionally clean. I was there long enough to witness some of the process. I would recommend trying their treats if you can eat them. There is also the Silk Road Gallery next door I want to check out.

It’s one of the really special places in San Antonio, TX First of all, if you like a special, delish desserts, and very special sweets and cute, tarts :: like lemon tars, different kinds of tarts , chocolate mousse, very delicious, very tasty coffee ‘ice cold, hot’ Americano’ espresso :) The place have a special place upstairs for ::vintage gifts, special gifts, middle eastern, European rugs, different kinds of jewelry 💍, ask the front jeweler ;) The collection is amazing, and the collection have a very competitive prices, and discounts for the first time customers, it reach to about 20% for some deals ;) The location on the top of Nara cafe.. Definitely coming back for more collection and beautiful goodies and decorations and vintage antiques, and cute jewelry:.

We come here often for sweets and tea and for a relaxing time! There’s not one dessert here that I don’t like. The people working here are also so friendly and kind. For our wedding on a budget, we wanted to get a plain 2 tier cake and Baklovah delivered in the most amazing way. As you can see from the photo, the cake was simple and beautiful just the way we wanted. I was able to decorate it as I wish. We got a strawberry and a coconut tier. It was absolutely delicious! Most of the guests LOVED the coconut cake. From placing the order to picking up the cake, the communication was smooth and seamless. They really made our wedding day even more special! THANK YOU! The first picture on the left is how we got the cake and the second is after I decorated it. We will be back for more relaxing nights of sipping tea and eating some amazing sweets!! We love it here!!

This bakery is very good. We love their birthday cakes. We tried their pistachio cake on mother’s day! It was so good. Not too sweet and light cake. This time we tried their black forest cake. We loved this one as well. We took their russian honey cake. Loved that one as well! 😄 So far we liked everything we brought from this place. The cakes are a bit pricey though. 8 inch cakes are $41 and 10 inches are $45. They have smaller pastries and they’re around $6 each. Do give it a try if you are a sweet tooth person!

The people working their are amazing. My daughter has a severe nut allergy, and we were very cautious of what we can buy. They were very patient with us. They even grabbed a new knife from the kitchen to make sure they do no contaminate the one Turkish delight without nuts. Their products are delicious and fairly priced. This has just become our favorite dessert shop.
