El Mirasol

If you need a place to catch up with a friend, this is the place to do it. The margaritas are strong and the food is delicious! I highly recommend the prickly pear chispa, if you like your margarita on the sweeter side. The salmon a la parrilla is my go to. Definitely recommend the chipotle sauce. I’ve been here multiple times and while the service is slow, I find it adds to the charm. Come with good company/ first date, so you can take your time and talk. Don’t come with inpatient people, there’s often a wait.

First visit at this El Mirasol location. Came with an empty stomach and left completely full. I’ve been driving past here for over four years - I am as much surprised as you to have finally dined in. My partner has been inching to come back so we made the time. We ordered their menudo which was absolutely delicious. The seasoning and the kick were phenomenal! We had their carne enchiladas and chicken flautas which were both excellent. Our server recommended we try their chispas - the chispas is what everyone comes for so we both said why not! Of course, we ordered one to try. Fresh ingredients. Very refreshing.

First, I'm not the biggest fan of Mexican food. I know that's not a popular opinion living here in South Texas, but something about cilantro just doesn't taste good to me. Anyway, El Mirasol may have just set me straight. Let me just say the food was amazing! The restaurant itself is beautiful. They have plenty of space for big parties. I was actually there for a birthday party, and there was plenty of room. The staff was amazing! Very friendly and spot on with everything they were doing. The menu isn't overly complicated, and I love that. The drinks were nice and strong...and the chips and salsa! Omg, I would go back just to eat their chips and salsa. The salsa isn't too spicy, has a slight smokey flavor, and best of all, ...no cilantro that I could detect. I can't wait to go back!

This place is absolutely delicious.. different made from scratch salsas, authentic flavor and tasty recipes are just a few reasons it’s one of the best. From the moment you walk in your welcomed and immediately serviced, very few spots are as quick as this place. The servers are knowledgeable, courteous and welcoming. Service displays in even the most minor of details.. even if your server is busy their is always some one walking around attentively refilling water and tea glasses as well as serving their delicious made in house tortilla chips with salsa. Their tea always has a refreshing freshly brewed taste and truthfully I could go on and on and how great their running this establishment. Been here a million times… a few favorites “Un poquito de todo plate” .. “Tacos al Carbón”.. “Enchiladas Soluna” and just about everything in their menu.

I hadn't been to this place in a few years because I wasn't living here. Moved back recently and knew I wanted to visit because of great past experiences. The salsa I loved is definitely more runny now and it was much saltier than expected. The food was still very good and the service was excellent. Prices are great, especially considering recent inflation (about $50 plus tip for two adult plates, a kid's plate, an IPA and a michelada). It was my husband's first time there and he enjoyed it so I think we'll be back soon
