In-n-out Burger

Clean place. Simple fare. I don't believe I've ever eaten at one before - they weren't in the places where I lived/worked/visited until the last few years. The burgers have a unique flavor that I liked. The fries are good too. The place was pretty crowded, so I guess a lot of other people like the place too!

Alright, folks. Now, I know we're in Texas and I don't want to ruffle any feathers here but I've gotta say it - I've given Whataburger a fair shake, and honestly? In-N-Out just takes the burger crown for me. Don't get me wrong, Whataburger's got some solid choices, and their Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit Sandwich on Jalapeño Cheddar is something to write home about. But when it comes to that classic, straight-up, no-nonsense burger? The In-N-Out Double-Double just hits different. There's just something about the simplicity of it. The fresh, never-frozen patties, the melty American cheese, the lettuce that actually crunches. And that special spread, man, I could put that stuff on everything. And let's not forget those fries. Yeah, they're a bit different, cut fresh in-house and all, and sure, they're not to everyone's taste. But me? I dig 'em. But hey, that's just my two cents. Love for a burger joint is as personal as your favorite baseball team or whether you think pineapple belongs on a pizza. So, to all you die-hard Whataburger fans out there, I feel you. Keep enjoying what you love - there's plenty of room for all of us in the burger world. Just don't knock the Double-Double till you've tried it, okay? This place was born and bred in sunny California, and it carries those West Coast ideals with it, no matter where it sets up shop. When I say "West Coast ideals," I'm talking about that laid-back, enjoy-the-sunshine, live-and-let-live kind of attitude. It's all about taking it easy and enjoying the good things in life. And in this case, those good things come in the form of a seriously tasty burger. In-N-Out stays true to those roots. The menu's simple, because why complicate things? Great place for a burger! Never frozen always fresh! Love the real fries! You can see real peeled potatoes being cut & dropped directly into the hot oil. Can’t get fresher fries than that! Have you looked up their secret menu? They will do extra crispy fries, animal style fries & I’ve seen them make chili cheese fries. No not Texas chili, the spicy red pepper 🌶️ chili is what it looked like. Burgers are always great & again never frozen. The meat is always fresh, maybe that’s the flavor difference. I always get the 4x4 for me, double double for my wife & Flying Dutchman for my dog. Couple differences between here & the ones in California are 2 things. 1) the staff in Cali are super nice & bubbly happy all the time with a smile on their face like they are happy to work there & 2) the lettuce in the burger, in Cali they give you more of a chuck of lettuce & when you bite into the burger there’s that slightly cold fresh crunch which gives the burger a different bite than other places. This location also toasts the buns very nicely. That first bite is a buttery crisp outside & that makes this burger so good. I think they do it pretty well here at this location & I will definitely be back to enjoy some more.
