Pesto Ristorante - Olmos Park

I come here pretty frequently and literally everything I have had here is amazing. I like the artichoke balls and occasionally order an extra plate to go because they're just that good. The stuffed shells are exquisite, the manicotti is delightful and their seafood is easily the best in the city. My favorite is the sesame crusted tuna: it's just really, really good. Today I had the margherita pizza. Every single ingredient was top quality and adds its own distinctive notes to the flavor. They just really care about the quality and it shows.

Excellent people who make the food and serve you own the restaurant. We are still careful about being exposed to too many people so generally do take out, which is always excellent. Pesto is a hidden gem in Olmos Park--please help find ways to make it known! PS: It is an excellent place to meet someone for food and conversation, which we occasionally do. And as someone else noted, the availability of the wine room for a special event is a great plus for a group.

I recently dined at Pesto Ristorante and had the pleasure of trying their Chicken Romano with capers dish. It was an absolute delight! The chicken was tender and flavorful, perfectly complemented by the tangy capers and rich sauce. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the combination of flavors was truly exquisite. I would give this dish a solid 5 stars without a doubt. To top off the fantastic meal, I also enjoyed an expertly crafted old-fashioned cocktail that added a touch of classic elegance to the evening. Pesto Ristorante’s attention to detail and culinary expertise certainly make it a top-notch dining experience. Five stars all around!

It was my big brother’s birthday. Actually we had two family members celebrating birthdays so I stopped by to ask if it was possible to make a reservation to eat in their wine room as it was a little more secluded and not so noisy. Several of our family members have issues with their hearing, so this was a problem at other restaurants. I wanted us to have an opportunity to talk to each other and enjoy each other‘s company and celebrate properly! The chef was really very accommodating, and very kind even when we had to drop a couple of people off the reservation at the last minute - they were still so accommodating. It was quiet and the food, as always, is outstanding. I really don’t know why this restaurant is not mobbed.- ALWAYS!! It’s a neighborhood area restaurant, it’s adorable. The food has always been outstanding, ever every time I have visited! I mean honestly, I don’t mind paying money for food when I can leave the restaurant and know that I have eaten a really, really great meal. Do yourself a favor, stop by and show them some love - the food is poetry. The service is always attentive and friendly. You won’t be disappointed.
