Awesome Tapas, awesome Sangria, great Paella.. and the Flamenco dancers were mesmerizing. You've got to try this place. Awesome all around.

A jewel of a hole in a wall. The outside does not match the ambiance inside. A must go to place. Great food, wine beer and the entertainment on Fridays is worth your time.

Fantastic Flamenco! My wife and I recently attended a Grenada performance in Spain and Carmens is on the same level. Please attend if you have any interest and appreciation for Flamenco.

Excellent paella. The flameco show is authentic. Dancers, singer, guitar player are outstanding. Highly recommend.

This is by far our favorite spot in San Antonio. Great tapas, cozy atmosphere but even better is the live entertainment. These singers and dancers sing and dance their hearts out. It makes us feel like we have gone back to Spain every time we come to Carmen's.

We loved Carmen's when they were on Mistletoe, but Friday, Nov 22, 2019 was our first visit to their new location on N Flores. We took our 21 year old granddaughter and her 22 year old fiance. We were SO LUCKY that there was a four-top that wasn't reserved. The venue is very small so there are no bad seats. We arrived early so that we could order a table full of tapas before starting on the Sangria.
The tapas were really good. We had savory empenadas, mahi-mahi fish tacos, queso fondido and potatoes with cheese. Every thing was good, and the house made Sangria is GREAT! Service was just right, even when the house filled up. Two things we will do differently next time:. 1) we will reserve a table online before we go, and 2) park on the street just outside. A bit pricey (about $50 a person including cover charge and $20 parking due to our ignorance). We will be going back, and want to catch jazz Thursday as well! OLE!

Paella and Sangria on a Saturday night while listening to vocalist Laura Marie. Carmens has a welcoming ambience & their Paella & Sangria are incredible!

This place is awesome. My wife and I started our anniversary celebration at Carmen's. We did not have reservations but they took us in and gave us the best table in the house. We loved the food and the show. You cant beat this place for a romantic experience that is not overly priced. We will definitely go back when we visit San Antonio.

This is not a place, it is an experience! Very authentic Spanish food, from paella to kale, there’s something for everyone. The food is delicious. Warm and cozy with flickering candles on the table in an intimate setting. Of course there’s a bar for your drinking pleasure, and many artful happenings in the evening. The night I attended happened to be a Flamenco dancing group, and they were superb. The location of this place makes it sketchy just because it’s at the edge of the downtown area, and you have to find and pay for parking in one of the open city lots. But it is worth the time and money to check this venue out.
