Lucky Noodle House

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I had the spicy stir fry lamb with cumin. It wasn't bad but usually when I see "stir fry" in the name I expect more than just meat and serrano peppers. I mean, at least throw in some onions and mushrooms. That would be nice! This dish also came with a scoop of white rice. I believe this was overpriced for what you get. Meat, peppers and rice for $15. For that price you should throw in a cup of soup, an egg roll and a drink, in my opinion.

This is my absolute favorite place in all of San Antonio. It's always consistently delicious. Their dumplings beat other similar noodle houses by a long shot. I need to take more pictures, but every bowl of their soup makes my heart so happy. I crave this place even on hot days. My partner recently tried the big chicken dish and was very happy with it. For $10 on average we can eat two meals - I truly hope they never stop with their great portions. 10/10, bring everyone you know.

Lucky Noodle ... Today was my lucky day! From the pickled cabbage to the marinated egg, everything we ordered was wonderful. I had the Lamb noodle bowl (medium spice). The broth was perfect, the lamb was tender and flavorful (also perfect). And the hand pulled noodles were ... Um, what's the word? Oh yeah, perfect. Great local noodle house vibe, excellent service, great price. We will be back.

First Timers. Firstly, we ordered the Pork and Celery dumplings due to the Pork and Chives being off the menu. The dumplings were GOOD. I added the Asian Chili on the side which was delicious! Finally eating SPICY. We then ordered the Beef Soup - one with thin noodle and the other with flat noodle, both being MILD. Oh my goodness. Mild. WHAT. The kick was out of this world. Had me sipping water. The noodles were 8/10. Soup 9/10. Dumplings 7/10. I ordered the thin noodle - beef and mild. Service, 100%.

Such a great Chinese restaurant! I got the Mapo Tofu & switched the bowl of rice they usually pair the dish with to 1 order of their handmade (thin) noodles for $4 extra. Some other review said the Mapo Tofu exploded with flavor. I 100% agree with this statement. It’s so delicious. The spice level is mild & the tofu is cooked perfectly. My fiancé ordered the sweet potato noodles with lamb (not pictured). We weren’t expecting for the sweet potato noodles to look like glass noodles. Both dishes were very filling, not that expensive, but definitely worth more than their costs to us. A friend got their stir fry noodles with chicken. I got to try a piece of chicken from her dish and it was yummy. All of us did agree that they give a lot more noodles than the meats in our dishes, but that’s not a deal breaker.

I LOVED the noodles, impressed by the quality of the food, and enjoyed my visit. The flavor and taste was delicious and quite authentic. You are able to customize your meal with different kinds of noodles and spice level. They are generous with their meats and veggies also. Our waitress was extremely attending and friendly and there were lots of places to sit at the restaurant. I will definitely be coming back in the future.

Walked in, and we were immediately seated. Our drinks came right away as we browsed the menu. It felt like it took a while for the food to come out, but it was worth the wait. I ordered the stir fry lamb with a mild heat, and my wife the beef noodle soup. Friendly staff, great food, definitely will return.

Favorite place to get Chinese food. The hand pulled noodles are delicious, chewy, and you can see the person making them in house every day. The big chicken dish is great value if it’s a larger party dining. This is also one of the few places with cold pig ears. Prices are very fair and you would definitely leave this place very full. Highly recommend to anyone looking for Chinese food.

Lucky Noodles stays true to their heritage and pulls their flat noodles by hand. It's so much fun to watch that happen in the back of the restaurant through the kitchen window. They're absolutely delicious and have a perfect texture and consistency. However, their meats are the weak point in otherwise great dishes. They lack flavor and were cooked overdone. Meats asides, their broths and noodles are excellent so this is worth a visit.
