La Botanica

It turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. Definitely not an "upscale" place but perfect for a fun, funky, friendly, fresh facility. Enough alliteration, we really enjoyed the atmosphere, an eclectic mix of customers, great music, friendly staff and great food. Serious flavor slaps in the mouth and all vegan. Had the Bella fajitas, libre nachos and Juan's burrito with a side salad, beans, and corn. Everything was very good except maybe the beans, not bad just not the slap. 4.25 stars for the whole package. Definitely will go back.

Relaxed, outdoor, covered seating in the center of town offering a variety of tasty vegan dishes. This place is very welcoming to all members of the LGBTQ community. From what I understood, they are only open until 8 pm, so come early. I had a burrito plate with a side of black beans and grilled corn on the cob. It was delicious.

This afternoon was our first visit looking to quench our thirst and was surprised by the decor, that I can only describe as eclectic and the drinks as a fusion of typical mix drinks with a little bit of this and that; which is one finds in a typical botanica. I highly recommend a visit to the Botanica all are welcome to here.

First visit there tonight. Cool, funky decor as you walk in with a decent bar with tons of fresh recipes at some really good prices (and happy hour til 8pm!). Really great music selection as well with Psychobilly, punk/ska and so forth. Ordered chips and salsa. Chips were fresh and crispy and the salsa was tasty, however the half full ramiken of salsa was not near enough for the amount of yummy chips. For entrees we split the mushroom tacos and nopalito empanada entrees (pictured above. please forgive the missing bite...lol) I swear to you, those tacos were mind blowing! The avocado crema was soooooo good. The empanadas were yummy, but paled in comparison. The corn shell on the empanadas was really great. The only reason for 4 vs 5 stars was service. Counter service in a place with food this good is just uncool, and it FEELS like you should be seated and order at the table. I noticed multiple couples come in after us and kind of stand around confused like we did. Factually, people order more items, and drink more drinks when a server is selling to their guests. People out for fun or on a date dont want to have to get up and break the mood just to get another drink, napkins, order more food etc...so they don't. Just my thoughts as another local restaurant owner. Will we be back? Ab-So-Lutely. Can't wait to try more items.

I knew this place was for me when the first song I heard from the live DJ was by Cardi B. 100% vegan menu. Mexican inspired dishes with vegan meats and cheeses. Large outdoor space with tables to accommodate groups of many sizes. Great bottled beer selection and cheap affordable well drinks. I got nachos and a margarita for $14. Dogs allowed on patio, which is greats news for me, but good to be aware if you're uncomfortable or allergic. Would return with friends.

If you've never been to La Botanica then you don't know what your missing. So first off let me start with this place has amazing charm. The people are always so friendly and accomodating. Secondly (and most importantly I might add) the food! The food is all vegan friendly and you can tell its made by more of a chef than just your average cook. From the way the food is plated to the infusion of flavors that explode in your mouth. Their website says they also have a garden they use fresh herbs and veggies from making it that much more authentic and delicious. The patio allows them to show movies and have smaller music engagements. Overall this place is one of our top picks because of the people and food, but the prices are awesome. So go now....what are you waiting for?
