Maria's Pizza

So my job had me spending a week per month in SA med center area. I'm a st louis guy so finicky about pizza. Maria's became my home away from home for years pre-pandemic. Eli would let me buy a couple beers next door and enjoy an incredible pie while he educated me on ancient Phoenicia. I can't fully explain how love is transferred to food, but Maria's has the recipe.

We use to live close to the establishment but have moved like 25 minutes away. We wanted some great pizza and this was the only place that came to mind. Owner is delightful. Pizza has quality ingredients and tastes homemade. If you ever doubt if your money is worth spending on the pizza DON'T it's well worth it! Support local businesses 🙂!

Ladies and gentlemen of all ages. I drove into this parking lot so I can use my cell phone. I then noticed I’m parked in front of Maria’s Pizza. A gut feeling kicked in, so I had to try it. I ordered the large Maria’s special. Since it was my first time, I did not order with my special request; I’ll try as is. What awesome loving people. If we could only get this reception at McDonald’s etc.. A definite must try. Thank you Maria’s pizza, many blessings. You have gained another customer.

Looking for great pizza, made by very friendly people? Look no further! Not only was the pizza mouthwatering upon first glance, but it was delicious 🤤 I literally annihilated one of their large pepperoni pizzas in less than 10 minutes. It was so good, and I will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

These incredibly sweet folks sliced up some cheese and so warmly shared it with us! I felt like I was at my Italian aunt’s home and she was preparing her best meal for us! But wait, just when we thought they couldn’t be any nicer- we were treated to waters while we waited for our food and just the most genuine welcoming vibes and smiles! I, HIGHLY, recommend this local hidden gem! If you are looking to support our local businesses this is definitely one to add to your regular schedule of takeout! The food won’t disappoint and you’ll feel so welcomed as soon as you arrive! The subs are out of this world! The calzones are stuffed- like me the day I thought I could be a size 0 and nearly passed out! The dough! Oh my word! The dough on the pizza! Sweet Baby Jesus! I was glad my mama wasn’t around so I wouldn’t be tempted to slap her! That’s all will say about the pizza because I don’t want to drool anymore… But don’t take my word! Experience this gem for yourself!
