The Big Bib Bbq

Food was pretty good, the service was direct and quick. Was actually some of the best food we had in san antonio. It's a really good option if you are in the area checking out the missions and the park. Don't forget to read some of the history around the airport about its founding and importance- very interesting!

New location is a little hard to locate. It is actually inside the terminal at Stinson. We ordered catfish plates to go. Didn't seem as though the breading was the same. Had a different flavor. Unfortunately the fish was not allowed to cool before the box was closed up so all the crispy breading sloughed off the fish. That was disappointing. We like Big Bibs so will probably go again, the waitstaff was very friendly and helpful.

I came to the Big Bibs at Stinson AP on mission road so excited because the original location on Lanark is too far but still worth the drive because everything on the menu is DELISH!! We originally ordered to to go but my kids were way too excited with the view of planes coming and going. The food and staff were amazing, the experience with the view was the cherry on top. I’m so happy another Big Bibs opened closer to my home.

The food and atmosphere are GREAT! After the meal one may want to check out the helicopter rides. The chili beans and potato casserole are especially delicious. There are four barbecue sauces to choose from ... not that the meat needs it. I like the aviation decor! It is so appropriate for the restaurant's location at Stinson Field.

Happened to stop by Stinson Airfield (Airport) and discovered that there is a Big Bib Barbecue restaurant here right underneath the Control Tower. We bought two plates, the Chicken and the Baby Back Ribs all were cooked to perfection, with the meat being juice and tender; you add their in house barbeque sauce (4 flavors). All seats are inside because you are on the side of the plane parking, and helicopter tour landing. Great food that is reasonable with a truly wonderful view.

For now I will rate it a 4. Went with my coworkers and they got their food way before me. So I was the last one eating and so I took the rest to go. I ordered the catfish and I'd have to say it was really good. The quantity and quality was there for the price. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was good. You even have get a view of airport planes, taxiways and runway. I'd have to come back and try the rest of the menu for this was my first go.

We are in town celebrating my best friend getting married and we went to the Stinson field location and had the best experience. Mrs. K was the sweetest lady and we wanted her to adopt us! We got AMAZING food and service. When we were leaving, Woody prayed over Brittany for a long, loving marriage. Seriously the best experience we’ve ever had at any restaurant. Every time we come back to SA we will eat here!
