Trinicakes Cupcakery

Cupcake price is fine and standard, so I would pay no attention to reviews that are griping about price. The attendant was warm, friendly, and polite which I was I even gave the place 2 stars instead of 1. The cupcakes, on the other hand, were awful. They were a rubbery, spongey texture with a gritty icing on top. The flavors ( I got 2 cupcakes) weren't anything special and weren't even very strong. Unfortunately, the texture of the cupcakes was so bad that I don't think they know how to make cupcakes properly. I would not recommend which is sad because I like to support local.

Visited Trinicakes on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and deliciousness of the cupcakes! Lovey was very nice and prompt and made the experience easy. The cupcakes were moist and fluffy and the frosting was just the right amount of sweet. We were fortunate enough to get in just 30 minutes after they were prepared! I’ve tried numerous cupcakes across the U.S. and San Antonio area and have now found a new favorite spot!

I truly thought over the past few hours what review I would give so please take to mind that I am not reviewing on a whim. My daughters and I stopped in today because one wanted ice cream next door and the other daughter chose a cupcake as her treat. Price per cupcake is $3.50 and I believe about standard for the cupcake market. Unfortunately, these cupcakes aren't real contenders with the aforementioned. Soft and moist, absolutely, but that's the only positive. The "button" decoration on top should not be eaten, it ruins the good taste of the cupcake itself. The icing whether too sweet for some or perfect for others really depends on the person, my disappointment is in the gritty texture. I don't like to feel the sugar like sand in the icing. Selection was about 8 flavors, typical no complaints, but would love to see a "featured flavor of the month" or "customer favorite" something like that, it would help them upsale. Lastly, the arrangement of the store is odd. I wish they would switch the display case with the register. The reason is because the standing tables are right next to the case and made the space crowded and uncomfortable, I can only imagine if they had other customers eating there or trying also to look at the selection. It wasn't until after we made our selection and started to pay that I then saw they also had lemon bars and brownies (very disappointed I didn't get a lemon bar instead.) Because the arrangement of the store is not inviting, I left dissatisfied with my purchase. We will not be returning since we live far, but even if we lived close, I wouldn't recommend. I do hope this review inspires some revamping of the location and merchandise as I hate leaving bad reviews. I tried to be more constructive with my criticism here.

Some of the best cupcakes I have had. I went in late in the day so the selection was very limited. The lemon and strawberry is what I went for. They were both very moist and the icing was perfect (not too sweet). I’ll have to go back and try some of the other flavors but I was impressed with what I had so far.

My wife went to order some come cakes and the attendant did not seem to have any idea on how to take the order nor did she seem competent in knowing the business's service capabilities. This was illustrated from having to call her boss, then text her boss, and by the stating that she was not sure that her baker could perform the request. My wife eventually got tired of waiting for the texting session, and we took our business somewhere else. Oh, we were just wanting to order normal vanilla cup cakes for my 3 year old daughters birthday party.
