Wonderland Ocean Pub

We came for mussel Monday which is an insane good deal for oysters and mussels. I ordered the mussels and grilled oysters covered in a cheese/spinach sauce. We also had the burger, the rips appetizer and chili verde. All the meals were amazing! The service was a little slow due to being short staffed but everyone was friendly. I would come back if I'd visit Ocean Beach again.

Beautiful view of the ocean! 🌊Especially sitting on the top deck. Perfect! I got the clam chowder fries 🍟 for happy hour and they were ok. I think I was hoping for more clam chowder lol🦪. Should’ve just gotten the normal clam chowder bowl. But the waitress was super nice and the vibes were great! The tacos are huge btw.

This is one of those "fight me" posts because anyone who doesn't like this place has no palate or appreciation for good things. We came in for the first time and it won't be our last. We ordered mussels with the lemon garlic sauce as a starter. I'm ridiculously picky when it comes to seafood. The mussels were perfection. Sauce was flavorful and the mussels were fresh. As a main, my daughter ordered Surfer's Teriyaki with carnitas. It was delicious. She was so impressed. I ordered the fish n chips. Don't expect those chicken tender looking fish strips. You get a beautiful cod fillet perfectly breaded and seasoned. The home made cole slaw is ridiculously good and the fries were nice amd crunchy. Please visit here - please drink here - please eat here. You'll thank me and you'll be supporting small business. By the way, the view is perfection. Do it!!! I would be remiss if I didn't mention the staff. From the GM to the servers and bussers, everyone is kind, friendly, and welcoming. They are proud of where they work and you can tell!

Fun location on the beach. A gorgeous view all around. We came to celebrate my son's graduation. He chose the location. The food was tasty and fresh for a bar. I had the Mac Daddy Ahi Poke and it was on point with my Gin and Tonic with citrus and juniper. Definitely going to return on my next visit to San Diego.
