Isalud!

Beautiful building with awesome art. The place is big but it is limited on seating, they have outside seating but it is also limited. You order inside and they bring you the food which is quick. The food is delicious and has plenty of flavor, the salsa roja is perfect and spicy! Drinks are delicious as well.

Located in the heart of the Barrio Logan community is iSalud. I love the way the interior showcases the rich Chicano culture. Found out about iSalud Tacos. Solid menu and lots of authentic Mexican tacos and other treats. Service was quick. Lots of seating inside as well as on the curb. They also make very tasty cocktails and serve beer. One of their special deserts is the churros & Thrifty's ice cream!!!!!! The Chilaquiles burrito is a nice change of pace to the traditional dish that is only served on the weekend. Also, you must go with the queso birria which features a great consume, which I mistook for a bowl of posole - very tasty.

The food here was awesome, the price was also really good, I feel like I under paid for the amount of food that I got. I got there at a good time between lunch and dinner so I didn’t have to wait in a big line or anything. There are a few parking spots around the area as well. Over all I had a good experience. The ordering process was also super easy. If you’re like me and you don’t know what to get just ask what foods they recommend and you’ll be told what people often order. This place was awesome. I’ll definitely be back.

We went for Taco Tuesday, which was three Tijuana style tacos (carne asada, pollo, al pastor) for $8 and it was bigger than a Tijuana style taco 🔥We also ordered beer and a margarita that went perfectly with the tacos on a warm summer night 😎 What I loved about this restaurant is that it had an LA trendy/hip/casual feel in SD weather/vibes on top of excellent service, which honestly is an ideal combination IMHO. We’re coming back for more!
