Amazing little hidden gem. Amazing coffee, friendly service. May need to staff up a bit, as the wait was a little longer than my group would have liked. Yet, if you're not on a lunch break, and have relaxing time with a garden like atmosphere (dog friendly) . You want to try the place.

Gorgeous location & atmosphere. Family owned and the family is so sweet and welcoming.
Food is amazing. It was our first time trying Venezuelan fair and it did not disappoint. So happy we stopped here and will definitely come again next time we are in town.
If I didn’t have to leave early tomorrow I would come again tomorrow if I could ;D haha
Also… the Venezuelan hot chocolate is 😋

Fantastic food at Old Town San Diego, they have authentic Venezuelan food, the coffee is really superb and the taste of this unique food is really good. This is a neighborhood gem, this is a Must when come over to San Diego!!!

Ive never had Venezuelan food, and this place made me regret never trying it before! The carnitas were so yummy and the arepas were soft and fluffy, I washed it down with fresh mango juice and Chicha (Venezuelan horcata). The meat paired well with the beans and salsas they give. The plantains are yummy. I wish I had more of them. I definitely recommend this place!

Yum! I have never had fish for breakfast, but it was soooo good. The outside area was shaded, thankfully. Fairly sure our server was homophobic, but we weren’t disrespected it was just a level down on the service we observed around us. The food is a bit pricey, but is in the touristy area of old town, I wenunderstood.

We came across The Congress Cafe by default, when all of our usual Old Town options were closed. But, we're glad they were. I've probably driven by this place dozens of times over the years and never knew it was here. It's a low-key, almost hidden gem. The food, the beautiful outdoor patio atmosphere, and the service were all excellent. We had delicious breakfast plates with a side of plantains. And very important for me, their coffee is good. Now we've discovered this place, we will definitely be back.

Delicious Venezuelan cuisine! We absolutely loved our food and drinks, and the staff were all super kind and helpful. Would love to come back. The quality of the food is just exceptional. Making my mouth water just thinking about it!

We ordered vegan and chicken arepas and I think they were very quite filling and tasty! Definitely must try. We also got tequenoes on the side and I think they were fine with the sauces the restaurant provided. I was super surprised to find out that they are the only Venezuelan restaurant in San Diego so I’m going back to try other dishes! :)

The food was really good. Went during the day of the "hurricane" and it was one of the places open. Greeted very nicely and served at an accommodating time. I gave the atmosphere 5 stars because I could see the potential if some of it wasn't closed off to the rain.
