Swami's Cafe Point Loma

It was a chilly Sunday morning . I wanted breakfast and lunch. I also fancied a margarita and coffee. And I wanted to be outdoors. I waited 15 minutes and was getting a headache so I pre-ordered an orange juice. Swami's makes fresh orange juice with pulp. Pure orange color with a balanced sweet and tangy flavor. Real deal, O.J. Did you know the coffee is self serve, like at a brunch. Perfect. And a variety of organic flavors. I ordered a nice warm bowl of soup to speak to the heart and calm the mind. The ambiance of sitting outside in the convered patio enhanced the sunrays peeping through. I ordered the clam chowder, turkey decker sandwich, green salad and orange juice. and margarita. Oh yes, full bar available. The clam chowder was white cream based with plenty of herbs visible to the eye. Thyme, oregano and plump potatoes garnished with a basil leaf. Don't get it twisted! If Swami's served it in a bread bowl half the seafood restaurants would be out of business. Creamy, with a balance of fluidity. The turkey decker encircled amongst a spring mix salad was plated nicely. The basil vinaigrette is divine. So divine I asked for extra for my already delicious sandwich with plenty of meat, and fresh fixins. My mouth was too small to eat it so I had to break down the decker. Although I did not eat everything in this one seating, I purchased an extra clam chowder to take home. QR code menus and restaurant menus upon request. Wait time was 20 minutes at 10 am and every employer has a symbiotic relationship to get your needs met. Cash and cards accepted. Covid safety Practices for employees and guests. Table areas sanitized between each guest. Indoor, outdoor and outside dining available. Prices are inexpensive and the food is quite appetizing. I saw the best dishes with lunch and fancied pancakes like the red velvet pancake. Yessir, you heard that. Vegan, vegetarian, meat eater, bread-centered, whatever is your desk, you got it

Great food, great service, fun atmosphere. Despite being a chain restaurant this place has all the love of a beach front dining experience without the beach or the water. Simple, pleasant, and delicious. Take your time to go through the menu as there is something for everyone. The french fries are battered which is a plus in our book. I got the Cuban sandwich and it was one of the best I have had in all our food travels. The bloody Mary hit the spot with just the right amount of heat to tomato juice and not to overpowering with alcohol. Added bonus...coffee bar that is serve yourself with at least 8 different coffees available. Sit back, dig in, and enjoy your food experience.

First really solid service since we have been in san diego! Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was efficient l. He had a rather large section however was able to male all the tables feel like he was present. Food was good. And the outside and inside of the building were clean. The coffee bar was a nive touch and the offered to go cup set ups with no charge. Very friendly staff. Recommend especially if you are visiting san diego! Cheers.

This convenient shopping center restaurant has surprisingly good food and excellent service. Their salads are so large my friend and I were able to split an ahi salad and leave extremely satisfied. A good choice for breakfast and lunch. We dined outside on their covered terrace. The inside reflects the multi-generational decor of previous restaurant occupants, a little lacking in natural light but with plenty of artificial light. It's noisy inside, but quieter outside.

They offer omelettes, pancakes, French toast, hamburgers, sandwiches, tacos, salads, acai bowls, fruit smoothies, and a variety of juices, drinks, and alcohol beverages. They have Happy Hour Monday through Saturday 1pm to 4pm. I tried the Veggie Rama omelette (pictured here).
