Has an old -school feel but the food is delicious! Got the Beefinator sandwich with the works: amazing! They even have sugar sodas, for which I am grateful for!

I've never written a review, but this place is so good, I felt like sharing. The marketplace is the best convenient store/deli I've ever been to by far. It's run so well, and no matter how many people are in line, your food comes out within 5 mins. The BEC or breakfast special is better than any I've had in New York. This place is a gem, please go.

Love this place!! Soups are delicious, pizza hits the spot, and the sandwiches are just right.
Perfect spot to grab some lunch and go hang out in the park before visiting Balboa Park or the zoo.
The staff is always so welcoming and friendly. Definitely a must to stop in here when visiting Bankers Hill!

Very impressive market place! It’s perfect for seeking a weekday lunch here. They have a lot of cooked foods options and they make amazing sandwiches. I tried a cold Market Place sandwich and got my sourdough bread toasted. The taste is amazing. It’s very big and will make your day very energetic! I recommend this place for sure.

The market place has delicious and affordable options. You can’t go wrong with any sandwich you choose. My personal favorite is the Benny (add pepps) that’s shown below.
Their burgers are 10/10, I always ask for extra pickles. Better to call in a phone order!

I heard about this place before I never had a chance to come down. They have great menu and services, excellent and food and very good price. Come down and the from cold sandwiches and hot sandwiches, and it's a food liquor store

What a great market for deli sandwiches, beer & wine.
If you are near Balboa Park, and need a snack of lunch or even a Cigar, this is the place for you.
They have a full deli with a great selection of sandwiches you can order or have custom made.
They have frozen meals to go as well as homemade soups.
Staff is friendly and parking is tight.
A great place to go shopping for your local market fare and for the convenience and selection the prices are fair.

The perfect place for a snack or picnic shopping for your visit to balboa park! It has it all and at good prices. From cold salads to warm sandwiches, deli, salty and sweet snacks, bubbly drinks and alcohol, it really has it all. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Balboa park. Not much place to sit outside.

I really enjoyed my sandwich here.
Liked the family run feel. Sandwich was made to order and was huge!
All ingredients were fresh and tasty. Meat portions were large and filling.
I added potatoe salad to my order. There were many good options available
I highly recommend this place; especially if you are going on a picnic!
