Blanco Cocina + Cantina

This was not what I was expecting at all. This was 5 star Mexican food. We got the combo plate. Every item was amazing. Every item tasted like they cared. The crunch from the taco was like no other. The rice was like buttered clouds. If you 6 hot house salsa to the rice, it adds the best flavor, and it makes it so you can handl the heat. The tostada beans had amazing texture, and the shell held up all the way through. The enchilada had the best consistency and flavor. Flan was perfect in flavor and texture. The service was great. We did go right when they opened at 11 am, so that probably helped. Great place

We are returning customers to this place, tried the Fajitas plate before, and became a fan. This time, it was Grilled Avocado Tacos and Carmelized Sweet Potato Enchiladas. Both the dishes were outstanding and very filling. Looking forward to trying the burrito next time. The staff are so polite and extremely friendly.

Blanco Cocina + Cantina is a great spot in San Diego! Their margaritas are not only refreshing but also exquisitely crafted, and the taco selection is top-notch. For tequila enthusiasts, the wide variety of options is a dream come true. A must-visit for anyone seeking authentic flavors and a vibrant atmosphere.

Excellent food with nice outdoor dining, we will definitely be returning. We went on a Sunday night around 7pm and we were seated outside with no wait. The bar and indoor also appeared to have plenty of seating, but I would imagine this place does get busy cause the food is great, so you may want reservations. We got the nachos as our appetizer and both ordered the Tucson chimichanga. The nachos were very tasty and we got them with the red pepper chicken, which I will definitely recommend but I'm sure it's just as tasty with the short rib machaca. My fiancee' got her chimichanga with the braised chicken and red sauce on the side and it was filling and very tasty. I ordered my chimichanga with the short rib machaca with half and half green sauce/red sauce and it was very hefty and delicious. The chimichanga itself was fried to perfection and the meat on the inside was tender and juicy. The outdoor seating is very nice, although construction was currently going on while we were there which was forcing a bunch of moviegoers right near our table so there was a lot of screaming kids, noise and excitement and such but I would imagine it is typically not like that if construction is not going on. The outdoor seating also has heaters as it was one of the first cool nights of the fall which was nice. The service is great and attentive but our ordered did get messed up, but we didn't complain because the food was still good and we were both still happy with what we received. Basically the meat of both of our chimichanga request were swapped. Also I ordered a taco which you can add to your chimichanga order for five extra dollars but I did not receive it nor was I charged for it because it was not ordered as requested, which honestly was a good thing because I was so full I wouldn't have been able to eat it anyway, lol. I highly recommend going and we will definitely be visiting again to try some of their other offerings.
