Spice House Cafe

Friend of mine suggested this place for the steak and eggs and their massive French toast. Staff are punctual, courteous, and respectful. Place is clean, and a lot of seating. I'm a big fan of Mediterranean cuisine and this place does a very good gyro. If you come here for breakfast, you have to get at least a single of the French toast. Highly recommended.

There is something special about the simplicity and quality of the food offered here. I have quite literally never had more glorious French toast in all my life. The gyros here are to die for. Everything I've ever ordered here has come out fantastic, from eggs to grits to burgers. To top it all off the service is charming and friendly. My suggestion to any who are not sure about what to get is to order the French toast. Seriously, they are the biggest, fluffiest, and most decadent slices you'll see around.

For the past two years, this has been my go to breakfast place in the Kearny Mesa/Tierrasanta area. I cannot sing enough praises about their French toast! First of all, they are huge slices of toast and so fluffy. Secondly, you can have the powdered sugar on it or have it smothered in strawberries and whipped cream! It's my go to every time I come here. What also makes this place special is the staff. No matter what, they have a smile and always take care of you. I honestly have never touched the lunch menu because I love the breakfast so much. The Country Boy is another great food item if you like biscuits with sausage and smothered in gravy! They have their own parking space and it's completely free. It can get busy but I have never had a problem finding a parking spot.

Ordered the great combo that came with TWO eggs, FOUR sausage links, AND giant french toasts. Totally worth the price and it was enough to feed two people. Love, love, love their toast. Absolutely love the portion(almost too generous). Four stars because my sausage links were over cooked... We also ordered an omelette with spinach, onion, lots of cheese, and meat in it, which was also very good.
