Dark Horse Coffee Roasters

Dark Horse revived my love for coffee. I love the vibe when you walk in to this sweet little shop. It's a nice and simple menu, with got damn good coffee, and amazing pastries. Not to mention, I have gotten the bagel more times than I would like to admit... SO GOOD. Hell, I loved the coffee so much, I even buy the beans to ensure if I don't have time to go in the morning, I make my own at home. Dark Horse over Starbucks, always.

Came here for a coffee and to pick up some coffee grounds. I ordered a cold brew with oat milk. Staff was pretty knowledgeable about the coffee which helped me pick some grounds to take home although they weren’t very friendly (didn’t greet when I came in, didn’t ask what I’d like to order just stood there). Overall I’d be back for the coffee as I like stronger flavored coffee and Starbucks could NEVER!

Dark Horse is one of my favorite coffee shops in both North Park and South Park. I've tried most coffee shops around the area and time and time again I find myself back a Dark Horse because they simply have very good coffee. I typically just go for a black cold brew. This location is very small compared to the South Park location. There's only room for about 1-2 people to order at the counter and then they'll call your name from their window. The seating area outside of the counter is honestly pretty abysmal, which is why I had to dock a point. They also don't make their own pastries and food here - but that's not why I visit Dark Horse.
