Filippi's Pizza Grotto Mission Valley

We hosted a fantastic rehearsal dinner for almost 70 ppl here recently. Lucas and his staff were awesome. Every kind of food we ate was delicious. They worked with us on lots of little extras like champagne bottles in ice buckets on the tables for the toasts, arranging the seating where everyone in the area could see the slideshow, and allowing us to bring in a little microphone and speaker for toasts and music. We were booking from 1700 miles away and had great interactions during planning. Nothing in the area could compare with the value, cozy atmosphere and delectable eats. We chose wings and bruschetta and mozzarella sticks for appetizers, meatballs, ravioli & fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp or chicken, plenty of salad with toppings and a selection of cannoli’s and cakes for dessert. Easy parking for our guests. So thankful for these folks!! A wonderful way to kickoff wedding weekend!

Based on my various experiences here, the food has always been excellent. Served fresh and hot. Prices are acceptable for the level of quality you receive here. Good customer service overall. Can be hard to find parking at times due to limited availability. For the kids menu, only a couple of items available and they don't make kids size pizza servings, just fyi. Would recommend this place and would return!

Good vibes and staff at Filippis. I came in 9/2 around 5 and ordered a take out meatlovers pizza, ready in 20-25 minutes, had a beer while I waited. Chris came by and asked if I needed anything. Super nice and helpful. Whatever you're paying him isn't enough! Pizza is a thick delicious girth of meat, great taste. 🤘

Love the wait staff, food and atmosphere. The decor needs updating, our table wobbled until the nicest guy bussing tables tried to fix it then helped us move to a stable table. Even so... we love the place! Customer service is BEST IN ANY PLACE IVE BEEN LATELY! We went there June 21st...great time. They even sang to my friend for his birthday. Thnx for an amazing experience.
