Been a favorite of mine since before they moved across the street from the original location. Full Italian menu, owned and operated by a Vietnamese family that gets it right !! The pizza is delish, but the sandwiches are The Item here ! Large, baked in their oven, and so tasty 😋 3words: Yum, YUM, and Yuu-u-u-u-uummmmmm !!!

I've been going here for over 25 years since I was a kid (when it used to be on the other side of the street). This family knows how to make a sandwich!! The go-to is the #9!! You won't be disappointed by any of the sandwiches here; pizza is great as well!

best toasted sub sandwiches in the UNIVERSE. i found this little gem in college and have not stopped going for 20 years now. mom+pop vietnamese family with hearts of gold.
i cant bring myself to order anything but the #32 gabbiano super every single time. ...they have a LOT of choices and VERY good prices.

OMG - get the Super Sandwich, toasted, Add vinegar and oil and onions and peppercinis and pickles - you won't be disappointed its amazing!!! The perfect reminder of italian sandwiches from Little Italy in New York. We love gabianos!

We have been going to Gabbiano's since they opened many years ago. It's a very unique style of pizza, with a somewhat sweet crust. We always order ours well-done and double-cut. For us, that perfects the outcome! Also their sandwiches are very good, definitely on the big side. For a summer night, dinner in the yard, we get some pizzas, salads, and a sandwich or two, and feed our army! Also, it's been the same family since the beginning, so the delivery guys are probably owners too! They are the nicest people!

I had to write this because it breaks my heart that this isn't 5 stars. I know it's gabbiano PIZZA buuut every single sandwich in there is hands down phenomenal 😍 I've tried maybe 15 different ones and I'm one of those people that never tries new menu items. Fair enough the pizza across the street may be better in other people's eyes but I love crispy thin crust and if you do, gabbi's is great❤️ I've been going here almost 10 years ever since some friends showed me their "secret spot." They are hands down the best sandwich spot in the area, if I know I'm headed to mission Beach for the day I make sure I don't eat until I'm there because their sandwiches are amazing and absolutely gigantic. Much love to the amazing people that work there as well, always kind and always on point!

This place is really close to mission Bay Beach between tower 11 and tower 12 if you walk down San Gabriel you were running to this restaurant it's very convenient and efficient if you're hungry and on the beach. Also they have really great antipasto salad

A nice little place nestled in a residential area. The pizza was hot and fresh, but a little doughier than I prefer. The pastrami sandwich was just okay, it may be that I had imagined something different. It is worth stopping in and giving them a try.

We stopped in and ordered a pizza after the lady finished talking an order on the telephone. She said it would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes. The pizza was ready in about 10 minutes and was hot and tasty.

Pizza was great and well priced but the place could use a remodel! Staff was nice and got the pizza out as quickly as they could. Great Mom & Pop/ local place.
