Fruitcraft Fermentary & Distillery

I cannot express how amazing Fruitcraft was for my wedding, which took place on March 4th 2023. Due to family circumstances, I was looking for a venue that was willing to help me plan a wedding in a little less than 2 months. I applied for a quote around Dec 26th 2022 with my estimated price range and number of guests. After playing around with the quote, we thought we wouldn't have been able to afford Fruitcraft with the little time we had and decided to give up. That was when Alan reached out to us with an email and an updated quote that was even UNDER our budget! I got on a call with him and he assured me that they would be able to pull it off no problem. It was their "bread and butter" as he put it. lol That's how I knew we would be taken care of, and he even suggested things to lower to quote even more and didn't try to oversell to us on anything. Alan and Anna were so awesome, always had great communication, and always made us feel valued and taken care of. The first time we viewed the venue, we instantly fell in love with everything. Although this was the only venue we saw in person, we were so impressed with everything that we put in a deposit the same night. Anna was so exceptional, she made sure every detail was covered and every concern was addressed. We decided to add vendor packages with Fruitcraft for them to contact a photographer (twopinesphoto) and DJ for us as well who were both amazing! Anna helped us set up phone calls with both of them and made sure everyone was on the same page to bring our vision of our wedding to life. They also referred us to an officiant and helped us with special requests for the dessert such as an extra cake for cutting. The florals we also AMAZING! We didn't get to see them until the day of and we had only sent Anna the colors we wanted and a few inspo pictures. Before our wedding, they had also recently renovated the venue and we were the second wedding to get to use the bridal suite room where I did a dress change for the reception. It was beautiful and the mirror in there is awesome. Our guests all had an awesome time, the food was 10/10, the drinks were amazing, and everyone was so impressed. We had concerns about the parking because of the location, but the DMV parking lot was able to hold all of our 115 guests! Some of them even said they wanted to host their own event there too. I cannot recommend Fruitcraft enough for any event, not just weddings. Take the time to read through all of their guidelines and you will not be blindsided by anything. Make sure you communicate everything to Alan and Anna so no concerns are left unaddressed. The only outside vendors that we booked were our videographers, and Anna worked with them to make sure everything went smoothly. We usually do not provide reviews, but in this case, it would be a complete disservice if we didn’t take the time to recognize the exceptional service provided by Anna for our wedding at Fruitcraft. Our wedding took place in Oct 2022, so this review is certainly long overdue, and we couldn’t wait any longer to let everyone know why Anna and Fruitcraft are the very best option for your next wedding. From the moment we reached out, the staff was attentive and we were immediately impressed on how open they were with our hectic schedule since we lived out of town (Seattle, WA). Once we toured the facility, we immediately fell in love with the simplistic décor to the outdoor space (LOVE sign). We loved everything about this place, but the person who made our experience seamless was Anna. We cannot thank her enough for her professionalism, attention to detail and timeliness. Leading up to the event, she made sure the Bride was calm and available for any last-minute questions and concerns. Anna went out of her way to make us and our families feel welcomed (even when our families were not being the most cooperative). Once the special day arrived, I couldn’t express how much we needed Anna. There were multiple hiccups on our end from forgetting the rings, the marriage license, officiant forgetting his speech and so many more. The guests wouldn’t have known because Anna kept us all calm, cool and collected. We can honestly say this was the best day of our lives. Again, thank you so much Anna for all that you provided leading up to the wedding and of course the special day itself. We wouldn’t have been able to keep it together without you.

I had my wedding reception here and--wow!! What an incredible experience!! When selecting our venue, we met with Alan (the owner) who was really friendly and straightforward with information. Once we had our initial quote and paid the deposit, we worked with Anna (the event manager), who was wonderful every step of the way. There are of course a ton of little details that go into this type of event, but they really made it all come together and the day-of was fantastic. The weekend of our event was a hurricane (in San Diego lol), but they were super proactive about alternatives and options, and we ended up staying dry and it all went well. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. We got tons of compliments on the venue/live-edge tables/gorgeous plants, food, and drinks from our guests. Aside from all the choices that go into wedding planning which are inherently stressful, they made it really easy by being all-inclusive.

I attended a wedding reception at FruitCraft and couldn’t believe what a beautiful space it was! The great, open space has several areas for gathering inside as well as outside. Tucked away in a corner of Hillcrest, this venue is an oasis right in the heart of the city. There are several spots for unique photo opportunities and the entire venue is so Instagrammable! Cheers to any happy couple looking to book this venue for their reception! You’ll love it!

Hello All, I am a professional wedding DJ here in San Diego and I can honestly say, I LOVE performing here at Fruit Craft! . First thing I will say is the venue has a nice modern rustic feel with locations for ceremony, cocktail and reception. More so for smaller wedding receptions this place venue is perfect! Also, the staff are very nice and accommodating when I am there for an event. Now, I do not drink but from what my past clients have told me is they specialize in hard ciders, Kombucha and seltzers and that also seems to be a favorite with the guests while in attendance over just beer. I have also had nothing but positive responses form not only my brides and grooms but also the guests as well. If you haven't tried Fruitcraft yet, you really should. The atmosphere is fun and friendly, and the drinks are awesomely delicious. You'll get a brain freeze from the frosé, and you'll find a bubbly cranberry drink that feels like Thanksgiving in a glass. Service is great, and the drinks are great, so why not five stars? It's the food. Skip the food. The bruschetta is lightly toasted bread slices served with a cup of what looks like salsa. Disappointing presentation and not especially fantastic in flavor. So, go for the drinks. Stay for the atmosphere. But don't come hungry.

I had the pleasure of visiting FruitCraft while they were in their soft opening. A group of girlfriends and I came in and shared more than a few plates of cheeses, meats, olives, etc. and each got bottles of various fruit-wines that were delish! The servers there are so informational and fun, that I almost wish they could've sat down and joined us! Now that they've found more of their voice, I would love to try them again and see what their expanded menu looks like, what new seasonal recipes they've got, and let's be real- to get a repeat of the daytime wasted one can only get when they think they're walking into a casual brunch and walk out with a personal to-go bottle.
