Banzai Bar

Was in town for Comic Con, wanted to go to bar, and I found this place. At the time, the kitchen was being renovated and that sucked, but our bartender (I want to say Alex) was such a nice guy and he could mix a drink. I went on a Friday night and it wasn't crowded at all. I enjoyed the overall look and feel of the bar. It was the type of bar that I wish I had near me because it is one that I would visit regularly.

After 2 years pandemic, I went back to my favorite bar again. It was still so fun! The drinks are still delicious. The surprising thing is, after 10pm, the bar turns to a night club. People dance, and music is loud. The atmosphere is cool and young. I will come back here for another fun night with my friends. Plus here’s foods are pretty nice.

Cruised in on my beach cruiser the other day to try this spot and I was happy I made the stop. I sat down and was greeted by Billy one of the bartenders who introduced himself to me which made me feel very welcome compared to some places you go. The drinks were cold and they did a good job making my wife's martinis. On the Saturday that we were there they were getting ready to have a onesie party that night so it seems like they might have some fun activities going on from time to time. They also have free popcorn and a decent bar food menu. I only tried the Tots but the rest looked good as well. Pinball,foosball, and the hook and ring game..Next time you're in the area give them a try.

Amazingly friendly staff who will feed you girl scout cookies. Fantastic cocktails and a great local beer selection. The food menu is diverse and the burger I had was very well made. They will announce your name as anything when they call you to grab your food, which makes for funny announcements. 2 pinball machines in the back, plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Parking is tricky but there are tons of local streets nearby to park on. Great happy hour and weekend brunch deals. Nice big TVs so you can watch the games or music videos for the music that is playing. Great local vibe bar, best in Point Loma. Crowd is mostly young adults, definitely a great place to stop by.
