I've heard all about Kung Fu Tea from friends on the East Coast, so when it first came to San Diego, I knew I had to give it a try. I'm happy to share that this tea shop is the complete package - an eye-catching name, stylish interior, and top-notch drinks! This has quickly become one of my go-to boba places in San Diego, and if you check it out for yourself I'm sure you'll figure out why. First and foremost, they have a huge selection of drinks (along with some seasonal options). My personal favorites are their fruit teas, but you can never go wrong with a classic honey black tea either. Pro tip: if you check in on the yelp app, you can get a free topping (naturally, my favorite is their boba)! Just a couple things to keep in mind - Kung Fu Tea is located in a complex, and while there's parking it may be challenging to find a spot during busier hours (fortunately there's usually a fair amount of street parking in the area). Also with how popular this place is, there's often a line going out the door (unless you're lucky enough to show up at an off hour). Of note, the music is often quite loud inside the shop, so if you're looking for a space to have a conversation over a cup of boba, this may not be the ideal venue. But really, in the grand scheme of things, these are minor drawbacks in comparison to the quality of tea you'll receive from here. Needless to say, I highly recommend Kung Fu Tea!

Personal favorite Boba tea spot! They have some fun options, can adjust the sugar and ice content and are always willing to readjust if it's not to your liking. Dream would be to be able to buy some of the artwork on the walls in here. Great for a quick spot to do some homework or better hang out with friends. Staff is always very cool. Honey tea is my go to, the taro, thai tea is also delicious.

The tea is good, had a few less cooked boba which made me pause when biting into it. The tea was great, they must use heavy cream or something because it was dense/thick but really good. I give the tea a 7/10 and the artwork and atmosphere a 10/10. My 10/10 for tea is SD boba, but this is definitely top three tier for me.

An abundance of options, you don't even need to have Boba on ur drinks because the drinks themselves taste great on their own!!!! The staff is extremely friendly and patient. The place looks clean and they've got fantastic art all around the walls of their shop. They also have anime playing on the T.V for those that care. Overall great place if you're looking for new and unique drinks!!! Definitely going to be a regular there

I used to love the Thai tea at kung fu tea, but with the change in product availability the recipe changed too. Still good customer service but I was bummed about my drink. It had too much of a floral taste. If you enjoy that though, you'd love their Thai tea.

Excellent selection of drinks and art! Love all the unique art they have on display and the stories about the artists. My daughter was very happy that she could choose from 6 levels of sweetness, her drink was amazing! Friendly happy staff and a clean space. We do recommend!

Kung Fu Tea has always been a solid boba tea place for us. We've been here several times and we went today for National Boba Day! They had some promotions for the day and it was definitely busy at the store. There was a long line but it moved relatively fast. The boba were warm today and felt very fresh! It was the right amount of chewiness. We got the white grape slush and grapefruit green tea punch. The white grape slush was great at 50% sweet and very refreshing for the warm day. The grape flavor was tasty and not an overwhelming grape taste. We're not entirely sure if we received the correct drink for the grapefruit green tea punch since they messed up the order the first time and it was very busy at the store. However, we really enjoyed the drink we got. It didn't really taste like grapefruit but it was still a tasty, refreshing drink. We tried several of their milk teas and those were all great choices. This is definitely a go to boba place.
