August 2023: Stopped by for lunch and ordered the pineapple pizza plus sausage! I'm a big fan of Detroit style pizza 🍕 and I thought the pizza was really tasty 😋. There were also jalapenos, sweet peppers, red onion, pepperoncini, and Mike's hot honey on the pizza. Was a delicious lunch! Menu was very extensive. Lots of options. Will definitely be back again for more delicious pizza!

Great option for outdoor seating or window seating in SF. Food and ambience is perfect for a spot that is elevated casual. My only recommendation is to allow folks to have a printed menu with the toppings to look at even if they order at the screen. Otherwise you need to click in pizza by pizza on the screen to see the toppings. Or scroll it on your phone. Makes it a bit difficult to order. Great pizza and great environment otherwise!! The pineapple one was our favorite! .

Anytime I hear about Detroit-style pizza in the bay, I know I’ve got to go check it out! Chicago-style’s got the marketing, but I’ll take Detroit-style any day. Having now visited Joyride, I can confirm that this is probably the best Detroit-style I’ve had west of Chicago. The staff were also super friendly and the Yerba Buena Gardens location is primo. I definitely recommend a visit!

The pizza is pretty decent, fluffy dough, toppings are about right. The service was fast and placing the order was quite convenient. I've tried their local Cola soda, but that thing is sweet. VERY sweet. The best pizza in the world? No. Still, it's a good food option around Moscone West. I would definitely eat here again.

Delicious “Detroit-style” pizza! Light, not heavy. Fresh and creative toppings. They serve yummy green salads. Desserts include a variety of creamy cheesecake. Joyride YBG is located on the promenade level with a beautiful view of the variety of architecture styles in Yerba Buena Gardens. Love (!!!) the veggie pizza with mushrooms and sliced Brussel sprouts! The meat lovers slice with sausage and pepperoni is also super yummy! For veg, I also had the green salad with the olives, jalapeños, mini tomatoes and red onions. Dessert was Snickerdoodle cheesecake. My friend got the Neapolitan cheesecake. All good! Alistair, the co-owner, is a pizza consultant from Kauai, Hawaii who is venturing into the pizza restaurant business. What delicious food! I definitely felt like part of his “ ohana”(family) - super friendly vibe. This restaurant is a pizzeria with “Aloha” spirit! Update (January 2023!): Joyride has opened s baby shop at 685 Market St. Super convenient to order, pick up a hot pizza and go!

Wow! Had no idea it was the old Samovar place until I walked up to Yerba Buena gardens. It's right over the waterfall and always offered stunning views of the park and plenty of outdoor seating places. The full glass windows also adds a nice transition to the outdoors. The owners have done a great job transforming the space to a Detroit-style pizza joint. This is my first time trying Detroit-style pizza, and I loved the square slices. I ordered the Sweet Heat Pineapple, and it was so tasty. The hot honey caramelized the crust, and it was a delicious salty-sweet experience. I don't care what people say - pineapples deserve to be on pizzas! The woman working the counter was very nice, and she accommodated the lunch hour crowd well. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

This place is so cute and in such a nice location that I would definitely come again! We had a party of 4 and were seated immediately at 3 pm on a Friday afternoon. Food: We got the iron goddess of mercy and the mochi platter and the scone platter. The tea pots are a good value because you can keep filling up the pot with hot water and it lasts the whole meal! The mochi platter was the star of the meal and definitely a really nice unique dish! It had a good amount to share for 4 people and a chewy flakey consistency. The scones were also good to share and the strawberry jam and honey were my favorite! Service: Definitely really good and the waiter kept coming around to refill our hot water! Ambiance: A really nice place to chill and catch up with friends! We liked the outdoor seating facing the water. Overall would come again!
