The Grove Fillmore

Coffee shop look and feel. Noisy and lively environment. Food was very good. Grilled cheese and tomato basil soup was very good, the chicken pot pie had a lot of quality filling with the right amount of crust just on the top of the pie not on the sides. You order at the counter and then find your seat.

Great breakfast, lunch and afternoon drinks place. In the weekends, I expect a long waiting time as San Francisco is big on brunch. During warm days, sitting outside is the best for watching the busy Fillmore shopping people. Hard to park, so either come with an Uber or Lyft or just walk here when you’re close. Menu is on the pricey side for toast eggs and bacon, but it’s good!

The food is always delicious - a varied menu with something to suit everyone. The service is also very fast making it a good lunch time option for workers. That said, the service can be quite hit and miss. I've had the wrong meal delivered on more than one occasion which I don't really understand as you're given a massive number!

You have to seat yourself, but you're not allowed to grab a table until after you've ordered. Fair enough. Unfortunately, some of the seating was unconventional; easy chairs, decorative couches and tiny little end tables were the only options left when we were done placing our orders. This felt like a strange choice for decor. It's uncomfortable to eat a full plate of French toast, bent over a low end table/coffee table/foot stool. The furnishings were cute, but a waste of space. Even the wait staff seemed annoyed to walk around the couch area. Take that stuff out and put in more tables, please. The food was yummy!

Great spot for brunch! It's a little spendy, but not unreasonably so. We were worried about getting a table at first (you order at the counter first, then find a table), but there were lots of tables open and it wasn't a problem. The breakfast burrito was great, and the grilled cheese was really good too. Come here for brunch!

Great place to hang out. Loved the interior decor. Staff was very friendly and the place was clean and neat! We had few drinks after the jazz festival and then shared a red velvet cake which was good but too buttery. I liked that they had used beet juice instead of food colouring. Kudos! Great food options and desserts! Lovely crowd too.

Cozy, Friendly environment and staff! Not to mention the food was prepared and delivered so timely despite the fact the place was PACKED!! (I had the Salmon Omelet Breakfast! 😍😍🙌🙌) that fresh orange juice had me over the top in love with this place, not to mention it was so communal! Sat down and connected with this awesome couple of guests! So welcoming. Just what I need first thing in the Morning. Good eats, good chats, and good juice!!
