We visited this restaurant on Thanksgiving day and luckily after a long walk only few places were opened that day , such a relief .Bring vegetarian i did not had much options left so ordered garlic fries , mozzarella bites and pasta. Garlic fries tasted more like fries with some garlic seasoning on top of few fries so couldn’t really recognize the difference . Pasta was more like a steamed version with some cheese on top of it.Apart from ok level food , the service and atmosphere was good.

The Dungeness Crab Cakes were a hit, with three flavorful and crispy cakes served alongside a delightful pesto aioli. However, one of the crab cakes was overcooked, resulting in a slightly burnt outer crust. The Clam Chowder was a highlight, an award-winning New England-style white clam chowder that was creamy and perfectly seasoned. The Cioppino Signature Dish lived up to its name, presenting a seafood extravaganza in a savory tomato broth. The only downside was the limited garlic sourdough toast—just two pieces left us longing for more to fully savor the delicious broth. The Seafood Fettuccine, featuring salmon, shrimp, clams, mussels, and green onions in a savory marinara sauce, was a tasty treat. Similarly, the Seafood Risotto, with fresh calamari, shrimp, and mussels, left us wishing for a larger portion to fill our stomachs adequately. *Tip: The small parking lot next to the restaurant was a convenient plus!

11/2023: Recommend this Italian place near the water. Disappointingly had to wait for our entire party in order to be seated and there was no space to wait at the bar, which seems outdated. Once seated, we were within inches of a door used by servers multiple times during our visit, every time bumping a chair or the table. We had to ask the hostess if anyone was going to take an order after waiting 10 minutes after seating. But the food makes it worth it - highly recommend the cheese tortellini!

We had Mai Thai's, seafood dip appetizer, and linguine & meatballs and Aurora shrimp. The Mai Thai's were fantastic, hands down the best I've ever had. The seafood dip was delicious but it only came with 4 small pieces of toasted bread (it could have used double that). Both entrees were fabulous; we would recommend both. The price was up there, but in line with most restaurants in SF. The atmosphere was comfortable and cozy. Dress up if you want or don't. Either seems to be fine. This was our best meal of our trip and we would go back again.

Cioppino’s Linguini and Meatballs is delicious! Their seasoned meat and tomato sauce made it worthwhile. The perfect Italian meal. The Prawn Cocktail is also a great pick from their appetizer menu.

Amazing food!!! We got a discount for this restaurant because we bought some tourist clothes in another shop. So we were actually a bit suspicious, but there was no need for that. The food was very fast ready and incredibly tasty. + The staff was super friendly. If you go to San Fransisco, I highly recommend this.

On a lovely afternoon on Tuesday in September we ate an amazing meal outside. I got the Fishermen’s Platter which contained shrimp, calamari, and Pacific snapper fillet with cold slaw and French fries. It was all good but the French fries were amazing! They were so good my wife ate half of them. She had the crab cakes which were more crab than filler and most enjoyable. Great place to relax and watch the crowds.

Waiters were friendly and very attentive. It was a bit cold in the outside tables but they had some tall fire lamps which made the environment very cozy and warm. The Salmon Caesar salad was very tasty, although the Clam Chowder could’ve been heartier, nothing out of this world. I’ve honestly had better ones around the Bay Area.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner here after a well walked day in SF. Had the clam chowder and salmon BLT, delish!!! The staff was very friendly, food amazing and to make the experience even more fun a bunch of people had their custom cars around the corner, showing them off. It was awesome to watch!

A friend was in town last weekend for the SF Marathon and we hadn't seen each other in years so we met up to hang out for the day. She'd never ridden a cable car before, so we took one down to Fisherman's Wharf. It's been a while (pre-pandemic) since I'd been here so we wanted to walk around first to get an idea of where we could grab lunch. There are a lot of options around but because we didn't want to do too much walking, we settled on Cioppino's as it was one of the first places we passed by, it was packed (pretty good sign) and the menu looked extensive. We did not have to wait to be seated which was nice- we sat inside (it was a little warm that day) but they do have plenty of outside seating available. Jesus was our server and was very pleasant and always attentive to our needs- he kept our drink glasses full. I usually pick two items to choose from and ask the servers thoughts. I really had my mouth set on tasting some clam chowder (I LOVEEEE clam chowder), but I noticed on the menu that it had pancetta in it and I only eat seafood on occasion- no other meat. It was a bit disappointing to find out that the chowder came made with the pancetta in it and couldn't be served without. Especially since the Wharf is known for its clam chowder- so I had to go with another option. I was torn between the fish tacos and the fish and chips. I went with the latter because well FRIED anything is my jam- and secondly, I assumed the portion sizes of the fish might be bigger than the tacos. They weren't. The plate came with (4) small sizes of fish and a plate full of fries. Don't get me wrong- the fish was nicely fried, crispy on the outside and tender & flaky on the inside. It came with tartar sauce which was house made (it was really tasty- there's a secret ingredient that I couldn't put my finger on but it gave it great flavor). My friend ordered a basked of garlicky cheese bread which she said was really good- she also ordered a Caesar salad and added shrimp. Honestly, for the price I thought the portion size was kind of small.. I think I counted (6) little shrimp. She said that the salad was really good and of course everything was very fresh. Overall, I don't know that I would come back- I mean let's be honest....food prices are what they are now. My expectation would have been larger portions for the price BUT I would still recommend it because the service was good, no wait and the food was quite tasty.
