Top notch food and service, dark restaurant with great vibes from the workers. I ordered the pork shoulder and it was wonderful. Just pulled right apart and fell right in my mouth. The sauce that was with it was very good and light. We ordered the fried okra with jalapeño aïoli sauce was great with the hot sauce they have. We also orders the Mac and cheese that was wonderful also great taste and texture. The chef hooked us up with Fried green tomatoes wraith a tartar sauce in sprouts on top. My friend got the chicken and waffles looks great the chicken was fluffy and fell apart just great. Sat right by the kitchen and got to see all the action and how well flowed the kitchen is.

Great southern style comfort food! As soon as I said fried okra to my husband, he was excited to go here. He grew up on southern food and this was very comforting for him. I didn't grow up with much southern food but I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. And they have both alcoholic and non alcoholic slushees! Definitely recommend.

Booths with dividers and very distanced, but attentive, servers. Food is great, staff is local and people we like to support, and the neighborhood safe. A+ transition to safe outdoor dining (with heaters!) Gluten free fried chicken (shares oil with other glutenful things) and a great gluten free pork roast thing. Vegan (non salad) choices. You can take your hard to feed friends here. Patio reservations suggested. They get busy and only allow so many people (they are really focused on keeping everyone safe.) They aren’t planning to transition to inside dinning anytime soon - they bought heaters to keep the patio open through winter. Good for dates.

Crispy Chicken & Waffles in a Captivating Bar Vibe! The Front Porch exceeded my expectations with their delicious chicken and waffles. The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy, a delightful combination. Also had the Gumbo as a nice appetizer to tease the appetite and it has an excellent deep southern flavor The place has a cool, dark bar-like atmosphere that adds to the overall experience. Highly recommend!
