Palmyra

Went and had lunch here last weekend. Never had Syrian food before and I'm glad to say I had an excellent first time! Decided to get the mujadara platter and loved it. Hummus was excellent and the food was not too pricey at all - $40 total for two, including tip. I'll definitely be coming back in the future, maybe next time I'm in the city.

I wandered into Palmyra for lunch today. The food was really good. Some of the best hummus I’ve had. The chicken kabobs were delicious, and the red and white sauces complimented each other well. Everything was fresh and tasted great. I was stunned at how inexpensive the food was. Another reviewer complained about the portions, which makes zero sense. The entire meal, including appetizer, was less than $25 before tip. And I left filled.

Palmyra has my absolute favorite falafels. I've been coming here for yearsssss. Their falafels are fresh made and served piping hot with delicious hummus and cucumber salad. I love their shawarma wraps, platters, and rotisserie chicken meals are great to share. I always must have a few extra falafel and baklava to go.

Place was clean, with four customer tables inside and two outside. Numerous takeouts occurred while I waited. Good selection on menu. Ordered the roasted half-chicken. Came with pita (1) a cup of cucumber salad, half cup of hummus and garlic sauce - also 1oz cup of hot sauce (cayenne?) but it detracted from the flavors. Also ordered three fresh made/cooked falafel. Chicken was tender with crispy skin and very flavorful, cucumbers were crisp and the hummus was very smooth. The falafel was absolutely cosmic. Highly recommended.
