We had the most wonderful dinner experience here. The interior is cozy thanks to the low, warm lighting and relaxing jazz music playing softly in the background. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and engaging. The food above all was phenomenal. We had the little gem caesar, sweet potato gnocchi, focaccia bread, spaghetti and meatballs, squid ink spaghetti with scallops, and the special dessert, which was a butterscotch pudding with whipped cream & gingersnap cookies. We washed it all down with a lovely Vermintino white wine. Da Flora has been operating in North Beach for 28 years, is family owned and operated, and curates its menu using seasonal, local ingredients. You can think of it as Californian-Italian cuisine - the best of both worlds. We will certainly return and will recommend Da Flora to any visitor looking for a good Italian spot in the neighborhood.

We celebrated our anniversary here last night. We loved the corner window seat as we got to appreciate the cozy and intimate vibe of the restaurant and have a lovely view of North Beach. Everything we had was amazing. Definitely order the focaccia- amazing. Share a bottle of wine- life is too short. Loved the one we ordered and it paired well with the meatballs, carbonara + lamb. We will be back!

Being the same for nearly 3 decades in San Francisco is a huge accomplishment - Unbeatable atmosphere great food and very kind owners ,I would add some stars for the charm the resilience the welcoming. I know this place from when it first transformed from a Gelateria into da Flora and can still hear the live jazz piano music and the tip toeing of a local famous rockstar helping out on crazy busy nights with Francis Ford Coppola as the highlight. The marble floor has seen many different shoes. The menu is still exciting with excellent dishes all done with a huge portion of love and dedication. This place is pure passion and for sure the only place in the whole city looking like a Venetian osteria. Try the bacala montecato an appetizer from Venice and go from there .

Our favorite cozy Italian spot. The food is incredible with a highly curated menu. Each dish has so much intention, with thoughtful ingredients often locally sourced. Never tasted better tomatoes in my life! Family owned, with wife as the chef and husband as the manager I believe. Because it's such a small intimate atmosphere, it's also so easy to have great conversation with all staff. Just honestly a 10/10 all around if you want a thoughtful, curated, intimate dining experience. Highly recommend!

I even had dessert! I couldn't have enjoyed my meal any more than I did. From the beginning of my experience, the staff was gracious, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The ambiance was reminiscent of an old Italian home and the limited wine selection actually wasn't an issue, due to what they served was great. I had the Persian cucumber and watermelon salad and I could've eaten it again and again. But next came the seared scallops and I was in food nirvana. I highly recommend this place. And I could kick myself for not getting here sooner.
