One of the best Persian restaurants in the bay. This place is so consistent and delicious that we keep coming back and bring our friends. My personal favorites are their koobideh and joojeh kebabs with adas polo. Their fesenjan is amazing as well with a unique pomegranate based flavor that you won't find anywhere else. Delicious food. Loved the kebabs and lamb chops. The tiramisu is amazing. Service was prompt and the waiter was very warm. It's a little loud, but nothing too terrible. We will definitely come back!

The best Persian restaurant in SF ! I’ve been to many different ones that are supposed to be decent, however, none is better than this place. I usually order lavash special and fesenjan and they are out of world . The mean is so tender, juice with lots of flavors they marinate. Rice is buttery with full of saffron flavor . I probably come here every month and the quality of foods is always consistent. Highly highly recommend this place if you want to try Persian foods !

I have had the pleasure of dining at Lavash on two separate occasions, and I must admit that this Persian restaurant in San Francisco's Sunset neighborhood continues to leave an indelible mark on my palate. Lavash is not just a dining destination; it is a culinary gem that is unquestionably worth the drive from outside the city. The food at Lavash is nothing short of phenomenal. On each visit, I have explored different aspects of their menu, and I cannot recommend certain dishes enough. The Sabzi Platter is a splendid introduction to the vibrant and diverse flavors of Persian cuisine. Lavash bread, fresh herbs, tomatoes, cucumber, walnuts, grapes, and delectable feta cheese create a harmonious medley of tastes and textures that are simply irresistible. The Shiraz Salad is another standout dish, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to using high-quality, fresh ingredients. Crisp vegetables, fragrant herbs, and a zesty dressing come together in a perfect symphony of flavors that refresh the palate. One of the highlights of Lavash's menu is undoubtedly the Lavash Special. This dish is a true celebration of Persian culinary expertise. The tender and succulent meats, perfectly seasoned and charred to perfection, are paired with fluffy saffron-infused rice and grilled vegetables. It's a culinary journey that every food enthusiast should embark upon. Lastly, the Makhloot, a delightful Persian dessert, is the perfect sweet ending to a remarkable meal at Lavash. It is half Faloodeh and half Bastani - its combination of pistachios, saffron, and rosewater, creates a dessert that is both exotic and comforting. Definitely a must-try with cherry juice and/or lime juice, which they serve on the side. (I even joked with the owners if I could buy a whole gallon of Bastani and have it in the comfort of my home. It's that good!!!) In addition to the exceptional food, Lavash boasts a warm and inviting ambiance that complements the overall dining experience. The attentive and knowledgeable staff adds a touch of hospitality that makes each visit memorable. Lavash has earned its place as a true treasure in the Sunset neighborhood.

We just arrived from Dublin-Ireland to attend the Irish movie festival here in SF, long haul and carving Persian rice while trying to adjust to the jet lag. We tried to call to reserve a table but the call was not going through so we decided to drive there anyway, thinking how busy can a Persian restaurant be… boy we were wrong! The owner was a lovely lady who tried her best and managed to give us a table on the lovely patio outside. The food, the service and the atmosphere just did our day! I Highly recommend this place!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at an Iranian gem in San Francisco that left my taste buds singing with delight. This hidden culinary treasure boasts an impressive array of delectable dishes that elevate Persian cuisine to a whole new level. From succulent kebabs to flavorful stews, each plate was a symphony of authentic flavors, prepared with evident skill and passion. The ambiance of the restaurant transported me to the heart of Iran, with its charming décor and inviting setting. The warm lighting and traditional accents created an enchanting atmosphere that perfectly complemented the exquisite cuisine. However, I must admit that the experience was slightly marred by the lackluster customer service. The waitstaff, unfortunately, seemed disengaged and inattentive, which was disappointing given the overall exceptional quality of the establishment. While the food and ambiance were unparalleled, the subpar service left a noticeable gap in an otherwise outstanding dining experience. Despite this shortcoming, the restaurant's culinary prowess and captivating ambiance make it a must-visit for anyone seeking an extraordinary taste of Iran in the heart of San Francisco.

I have come here for dinner before (I forgot to review), but this is a review about how delicious their pistacio ice cream is! We were seated on a weekday afternoon in their "garden" seat and just ordered their pistacio ice cream, which has about 3 scoops. Their outdoor garden seating was so cute, it would definitely be a good spot for wrapping up a date.
