Cafe Flore

A good friend of mine owned this for many years. He once told me the rent is so insane ontop of constant maintenance, food, booze and supplies it pays for itself. Owning it is only for nostalgia. Great food though! Great staff! Also I highly recommend a BloodyMary, and a Bacon Cheeseburger, or Eggs Benedict and Mimosa! On a sunny day enjoy the your drinks and food out in the patio area or even a table out on the sidewalk, so you can enjoy all the hot gay locals.

This is my favorite new brunching spot for whenever I am in the city. Bottomless mimosas are awesome, but sometimes it's hard to get that refill. Don't be shy, flag the wait staff down they'll be glad to fill you up. If you go, definitely try the crab mac n cheese,or their veggie version. So good and enjoyable. Owner is a super cool guy, who isn't afraid to talk with customers. I very much appreciate that. Treat yo self! Go to Flore!

Tremendously enjoyed my lunch at Flore today. Excellent service, wonderfully delicious flank steak salad and crabmeat with sundried tomato mac 'n cheese. Ambience was perfect too. I love how the glass walls just bring in the natural light even on this rainy day. The red accents around, the ceiling fans and Mediterranean chandeliers make this elegant rustic place very chic. If there is anything that can make this place even better, maybe add a little more slivered almonds on the salad and less sodium but more cheese on the mac and cheese. But you know what, this must have been an afterthought as I'm sure it did not matter when i was eating. Perhaps i was forcing myself to find fault. Thank you Matt for making lunch with my daughter, who was visiting from college, extra special. I would love to challenge you though on the margarita. Something I think I make better.

I've always loved this place, but it's had several different owners over the years and the food wasn't always consistent. Now though, the food is great, the staff is sweet, and the decor is really fun and festive We talked to the owner a bit as we were leaving, and he really cares about his customers and the community. So glad this place is back to being amazing! It's one of my favorite places for a warm drink in the winter, so I'll definitely be back soon! And will continue to come back to use the patio once it's warm again! I had crab mac and cheese and a hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps and my friend had the crab benedict, it was all really good.

The food was great. I enjoyed the fabulous chicken wings buffalo style, I like my wings a little on the cooked side and the staff did an excellent job. My wife had the chicken pot pie and said "it's better than mine" now that's saying something... she's an excellent cook. Overall a very good dining experience. We will definitely go back again...and again. John n Maria.
