Velvet Cantina

Delicious food!! The chicken and avocado enchiladas were a popular choice; I loved my fish tacos and the house made chips. We had a huge group and the servers checked on us frequently, which was nice! It's a cute spot with a wide variety of tequilas. EDIT: Okay, it's worth noting that I've had a stomachache for the 4+ hours since I left the restaurant. Maybe my stomach wasn't ready for battered/fried fish. Hopefully no one else has this issue!

Chose this place to catch up with a few friends on a Thursday night. It was pretty empty though I had made a reservation on the yelp reservation system so we were promptly seated. The margaritas were strong and yummy. Tried the house and the spicy one :) the food was delicious! The wet burrito was HUGE and the cactus enchilada was my favourite. The free chips and salsa definitely filled me up before my entree so I didn't get to try a dessert! But overall food, drinks and service were food :)

Friendly, young, old, diverse, staff immediately like friends. Best selection of quality Tequila. I sat at the crowded bar. Asked what the young lady was drinking, mango habanero. Hot but definitely drinkable. Definitely try all the pepper and herb infused Tequila drinks and the special margaritas too. I paid for my first round. The bartender gave me a sample of a couple of drinks, and the young ladies from Manhattan were asking what would be a deal breaker. For me, I said nothing. There was nothing. Such a sap I am. Somehow I was having a third drink I didn't order. The ladies paid, one had to hug me goodbye, and left. I asked Jordan what I owed, nothing he said.

This place is a finding for margaritas pitchers. If bring some friends just ask for it and pair it with some Nachos Velvet that comes with meat. It's great to share with the group and its a lot of delicious food. Service is also excellent; the space is relatively small which sometimes will make you wait for a seat unless u going to the bar.
