I was expecting something better and different. Although it looked like a Mexican restaurant, it was more of a texmex place. They randomly chose who to ask for vaccination cards. We had to show ours, which the guy waited until we showed them before we were let in. The second family that came of 6 members were not even asked for theirs. The food is over priced. I know its pier 39, but they over did it, not wonder the place is almost empty. The food tasted blend and not good for $20 dollar nachos and an $18 dollar quesadilla. We thought the food would make it worth the price but we were wrong and by then it was too late. The salsas had no flavor and the nachos were super hard. When people arrive they ask you if you want chips and salsa, little did they know they are being charged for them, this should be said up front so that customers know the extra charges. The bathrooms were extremely disgusting, we had to wait to go downstairs somewhere else. Overall, not a good experience and will not be coming back!!

Decent Mexican place right on the pier with outdoor seating and good views of the Bay. Recommend their mango guacamole which combines sweet mangoes with savory avocados for a unique flavor!

My wife’s best friend was visiting from Hawaii and we wanted to eat at Bubba Gump, but the wait it was unfortunately too long (Sunday, very crowded). We then stumbled across this Taqueria. We walked inside, asked about a wait time, they said 15 min. We decided to get a drink from the bar while we waited, and we got lucky that a couple people were leaving so we decided to sit at the bar and eat. Ariel, the bartender, helped us immediately and got us a couple beers before we could even sit down, he suggested a few mixed drinks and was so nice and very informative. I told him that I hadn’t had a mixed drink made so well in a long time since most of the time they’re way too sweet, but the one he made was in a small bowl and tasted so good and smooth, it could be dangerous lol. Our friend from Hawaii asked about flautas, Ariel said that they don’t make those there, but he said let me see what the chef can do. He came right back and said the chef would be glad to make them for her, and they were so freaking delicious. I told Ariel I would do this review because we were pleasantly surprised with the food, the service, and the ambiance. I’ve worked in the service industry, so when I see people actually do a good/great job, it doesn’t go unnoticed. Thanks ARIEL! Kudos to you!

The mango burrito was okay. I wasn't a fan of the mango sauce way to sweet for me. My friend enjoyed her taquitos, rice and beans platter . We also split a blended mango and tequila drink .. that was actual good. A bit pricey and service wasn't the best, maybe because it was busy ??

One of pier 39 little gems. Happening little spot, indoor and outdoor sitting. Great views, goodvibes and quality service. Good prices menu. You definitely get your money's worth. Must place to stop at to eat & drink.

This place is called Mango’s Taqueria and Cantina (“flavor of Mexico”). I like the look and vibe of the place, especially the waterfront view (makes everything pretty). Looks like a place where you can drink and party (decorated New Year ready). The staff were nice enough and the food came fast but they kept messing up our orders. We asked for Taquitos and we got tacos. I said no beans and still got them. The food was served warm not hot. I loved that carne Asada but I think it was a bit overpriced because you only getting beans, rice, meat and pico. Looks like the burritos is where you get your moneys worth because they were HUGE! The place was called “Mangos” but there was nothing served with any mangoes. I thought at least the pico would have mangos...or maybe it’s just a name.

The place has a very nice view on the bay. I recommend coming to SF the last week of September first week of October. Shrimp was great and meat was a bit hard. We had no waiting in the line!
