Pauline's Pizza

Wow...Wow. for the last 3 years we would go or order large pie from Pauline’s. Truly the best Pie in SF and Jersey approved. Sad that they are now closed. This is probably the last piece of pie from Dec 18. We are going to miss the amazing staff and the food they enjoyed preparing. RIP Pauline’s Pizza

I have been coming here since 1997. Still some of the best pizza in San Francisco. With perfect crust and fresh toppings, you can't go wrong. The crust is thin but puffy around the edges. Nice inexpensive wine list too. It was probably the first Valencia Street restaurant that attracted a citywide following... The zuni Cafe of pizza.

Sit down family style pizzeria perched on the edge of the Mission, on Valencia. I am told they have the greatest bathroom of any restaurant. The pizza is great. Light, flaky crust. Not New York or Chicago style, but something totally different. Limited selection of beer and wine. Nice overall atmosphere.

The Old Pancetta pizza with chevre is simply the best bacon pizza ever, and the pesto pizza is off the charts, slathered thick with bright green fresh pesto and dotted with pine nuts. Pauline's also has their own winery with delicious reds from Calaveras County, plus their own organic gardens. The special salad was generous and delicious. Even with a large surge of big groups coming in, service was fast and friendly - the upstairs room has a lot of capacity. Highly recommended for groups.

Pauline's is great! I love the pesto pizza, and they always have two specials (one vegetarian and one meat) that are so creative. Often the vegetarian special has fruit on it (!); last time I ordered the peach ricotta basil special and it was delicious. They get a lot of their toppings from their own garden, which I love.

The pizza is quite tasty and I enjoyed the salad as well. I believe Pauline's has the own kitchen garden as well. Anyhow, everything tasted quite fresh. I came a bit later than I normally would and we were seated right away. The building is painted a pleasant yellow color and blends in well with the original Levi's factory next door.

I go here for a monthly volunteer meeting and am always impressed with the food and service. We usually get a varied selection of pizzas and the chef's salad which changes each time. The pizzas have unique ingredients I would never think to put together, but they taste great. The vegetarian pizzas are also good - the pesto and garlic pizzas are favorites. The salads are very fresh, usually with some kind of fruit added in. Be sure to save room for dessert. The mousse and butterscotch pudding are favorites in our group.

Elegant looking dining room for a pizza place, but still child-friendly enough to have crayons on the table. Thin crust pizza with a very tomatoey sauce - enjoyable but I found myself wishing for some whole wheat in the crust instead of just white white white flour. I stuck to the traditional toppings, but they have a set of 'eclectic' ones as well. A pair of salad options and a few desserts complete the short menu.
