Best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had in my life. It reminds me of old school SF local diner - quality ingredients, no frills, great product and good staff. I grew up in the city and only recently learned of this hidden gem. Adding to my list of fav restaurants

I grew up with parents and uncles who had pizza/sun/deli places on the East Coast. This is the best sandwich spot in the city. The layering is correct, the portions of ingredients are proportionate to the sandwich, everything is fresh, and they make things quick. I discovered this place after living here 14 years and can’t believe it took this long!

I had the avocado Swiss and turkey sandwich, everything was fresh and delicious. I only wish the Swiss was actually Swiss cheese, and not whatever that white processed thing was. It was otherwise satisfying, with fast friendly service :-)

I am new to the neighborhood and wanted a place to work and have some lunch. This place seems to be a staple in the community! It's extremely popular during lunch time but they work super quickly to get you your food. They are kind and it seems like they generate a loyal following - I know I will be joining it for sure. If they don't answer when you call, it's likely because they are churning out so many orders. The seats are comfortable and it's not too noisy, making it a great place to work for an hour or two (as long as you're not the kind of person who needs compelte silence). The portions are large and worth the prices. Seems like the go-to sandwich shop and I'm excited to pick up sandwiches before events from here. So glad I stumbled across this place on my afternoon walk!

This spot has lots of choices when it comes to lunch. I chose to be traditional and try something from the deli. Ii ordered a salami and cheese sandwich on Dutch crunch. It was good.

They do things right. Straight-ahead breakfast and lunch choices with an enormous variety. Locals tip: If you dont want a lot of carbs, consider ordering breakfast items ala carte. I had two scrambled eggs and sausage for less than $5!

Today I had the pleasure of stopping in the first time at Pete's Deli and Cafe in San Francisco what a delightful experience was greeted by the owner and had a wonderful conversation with him super-friendly great food love it no wonder they been in business almost 50 years! 💖🤗
