Atwater Tavern

My friend and I had lunch at the bar. Fanny managed to juggle the drink orders as well as the food orders. She made a great wine (a French rose) recommendation that went perfectly with the ahi tuna sandwich that I had ordered. Even though the restaurant was pretty packed for a weekday afternoon, our meals arrived hot and in a timely manner. Fanny and John (the owner/bartender) checked on us regularly to make sure that we were fine. I had been to ATWater Tavern for dinner but this was my first time for lunch. It’s just as pretty in the daytime as it is at night. Great place to go before or after games at Oracle Park or the Chase Center.

Great spot close to the water and to Oracle Park. There is a bar area, indoor dining, and a nice outdoor patio. It's a lively atmosphere with a good vibe, but not too loud so you can enjoy your dining company. We've been in a couple of times and the service and food was good both times. It's very close to home for us, which is a plus. Would love to see more items added to the weekend brunch selections...egg sandwich and breakfast burrito would be great options. I loved the avocado toast, but hubby is more of a traditional breakfast or egg sandwich guy.

The ATWater Tavern is a great place for a pre game meet up or meal before the Giants or Warriors game. It is walking distance from both stadiums. We were sat outside on a cool spring evening before a Warriors game. They have happy hour oysters, which puts them at an incredibly affordable price point, and had nice quality taste. We also had a standard burger and fries, which were solid, but nothing special or memorable. They have an overall good selection of American style foods, with a full bar and drinks menu. Overall, I would recommend this place before a Giants or Warriors game, as you will get high quality meal, for a much more reasonable price than stadium foods.
