An excellent place for relaxation and dinner. Soft jazz music, a cozy venue with a limited number of seats, European-style ambiance combined with Asian cuisine. Fresh fish, authentic Japanese soy sauce, sake, and outstanding dishes, all prepared with care. This charming place will recharge you after a challenging workday and bring a positive end to your day, providing a pleasant escape from the monotony of weekdays 👍🏻

The Sushi master's hair has grayed along with ours but the excellence of the food remains unchanged since we discovered this neighborhood gem years ago.
Pro tip: order off the daily specials white board. There are always new dishes to try.
Tonight my favorite was the dynamite scallop roll - green bean tempura with scallions and avocado topped with exquisite scallop, thinly sliced jalapeños and chef's special sauce. Num. I wish I had room in my tummy for more.

I feel like operationally the place is a step behind. But who isn't in San Francisco these days? Food was superb. Great nigiri, rolls and priced lower than expected. Give them a shot.

Still my fave local sushi spot to go to since they opened. Their specials are fun to try as well as their full menu. Everything is flavorful and fresh. It’s a place to take your time to enjoy the meal and company.

We've been coming for 10 years. The quality of the fish is always spectacular and the selection amazing. Even the soy sauce is special. And it doesn't cost more than a dozen other places which are not quite as good but cost twice as much. We don't come here that often, but we always come back.

Really friendly staff, authentic atmosphere (makes me feel like I’m back in Japan / Taiwan again!). Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but honestly this place is now one of my favorite hole in the wall go-to in sf for Japanese food! Highly recommend the unagi nigiri, super fresh and the rice is delicious too! Just be patient for your food to come out as they are understaffed (and working super hard)!

Amazing sushi! Service a little slower from Covid, only one sushi chef but he makes food o delicious and their prices are below market. Makes for an opportunity to eat a lot and try more items at a fair price. When I go back to SF I will go again!

Best sushi in the area, bar none. They serve excellent sushi, as well as authentic izakaya staples like Umekyu, Nametake Oroshi, Yudoufu, Tsukune, etc. The chef's skills and attention to detail really show in the wonderful flavors of each dish. The dishes are priced reasonably, and there's also a variety of vegetarian options, which are equally delicious. Serving can be a bit slow because the whole place is run by only 2-3 people, but it's totally worth it.

Amazing & authentic sushi, it makes me nostalgic for my life in Tokyo. The service is attentive and efficient, just be patient - its just the chef and the lady.
It's MORE than worth your time (if you're lucky enough to get a table).
