Sushi Hunter

4 stars in general, 5 stars for their all you can eat Sushi. Ok, so here's the low down on Sushi Hunter. It's my local sushi spot so let's not blow this place up but yes, it's solid and I recommend it, but no, it's not Sushi Ran. This is not top cut fish, this is fish for the common man. You simply have to do the all you can eat here. Grab a miso soup, seaweed salad, and go nuts on sushi to get your fill. It's not a place you pickup from or order a la carte. You come here, you do all you can eat, you eat yourself silly, and you go home and watch Netflix. Done.

Possibly one of my most favourite dining experiences in recent memory. Let me first start by saying the sushi is fantastic, and the price is certainly fair for the quality they deliver. Secondly and most impressive is the kind and caring service we received while eating lunch. She was even so courteous to get to know us and ask our reason for travel to San Francisco. If you are local or in town for just one day this place needs to be on your radar, even if you don’t eat sushi stop in for a drink and a chat as I can guarantee you theyll make you feel right at home! Thank you Sushi Hunter for the fantastic lunch.

First suggestion that turned up when I searched maps for eat all you can in San Francisco. Turns out they have a lot of options to pick from more that 20 different types of sushi. It's however not a perfect setting for eat all you can. Your waiters have to am get your order. That's not best suited for eat all you can. It defeats the purpose IMO. None the less, Sushi Hunter remains a choice restaurant for a Japanese treat.

We visited the place for all-you-can-eat sushi. The price is 27$ Mon-Thu, 30$ Fri-Sun and during Holidays. If you pay in cash, there is 2$ sale. Another 18% graduity is mandatory (for all-you-can-eat only). I consider it as a decent price in such a touristic city. The restaurant is not some super nobles but still quite nice and cosy. The service is extremely nice and always smily. The quality of food is more than good - some rolls were quite ok, some were extremely delicious. You can order more things than just rolls (like starters, teriyaki, maki, ...) which I highly recommend. Our expectations were more than satisfied and we certainly recommend this restaurant to others. Also it is nice walk to the nearest bart(train) station which is very pleasant after such meal.

The sushi here was amazing! Everything was fresh and well made. I especially enjoyed the fact that the nigiri was not overloaded with rice. The all-you-can-eat menu was pretty limited but still offered tasty choices including some appetizers. The only criticism I can offer is that they did not have more cooked rolls for my pregnant wife.

Christy assisted us with a perfect evening recently. My parents were in town for my mom's birthday, and the staff here made it very fun for us.. they taught her how to properly drink her first sake bomb! The crunch rolls are delicious and so are the garlic edamame. The gyoza is also really good, especially during happy hour prices. Beautiful part of the city, and easy to walk by without noticing. Definitely worth stopping by.
