Great bar with a great beer selection and great staff!

Love this place! Every Tuesday night the trivia is great fun and Mia runs the bar on her own like a superstar. Single-handedly never keeping anyone waiting in a busy bar.
I gave 5 stars for food because they let you bring in your food for the Trivia and you are spoilt for choice around Chestnut street!

I have been here three or four times. There are a decent range of craft beers plus an equally decent range of cocktails. The pool table is also good and the locals are happy for you to take them on. All in all this is a nice place to chill, nice friendly locals and bar staff.

Absolutely love coming here. Especially on nights when they have live music playing. The staff here is absolutely amazing. They food is delicious as well. I recommend the prime rib and their spicy pasta. The fried calamari with veggies is a must.

Easygoing vibe. Friendly staff. Excellent beer selection on tap that reportedly changes regularly. There is an unpleasant wet smell that put us off a bit (hence the four rather than five stars) but apart from that, we found this to be a great place for a relaxing late night beverage. Likely also good for earlier stops but we dropped by around midnight.

After moving to San Francisco recently from the Midwest, I'm really glad that I stumbled upon Monaghan's. Very friendly atmosphere and a great place to watch a game outdoors. The owner Patrick, the bartenders, and even the regular patrons made me feel right at home even as a newbie to the area. I'm looking forward to spending more time here and highly recommend.
