This place *was* quickly one of my favorite restaurants! Tried to eat there tonight, and they’re CLOSED!!!! Except for private events or delivery. Sorry - don’t think that the cauliflower will taste nearly as good with delivery. Will you post the recipe? Also - I LOVED your cocktails!! Will you post those recipes since you can’t deliver those?! So, so sad!! Probably won’t get your delivery. 😩😢

This place is great for authentic upscale Indian food. Honestly, we were tired of the menu of Amber (Yerba Buena) and Dosa on Fillmore, which have been the same for many years. Babuji is a breath of fresh air. It is definitely at a more reasonable price point than August 1Five and Rooh. I am really happy that restaurants like this are elevating Indian cuisine in San Francisco, from the traditional perception of comfort food. What's great- believe it or not the Paneer Tikka masala is what makes us come back to this place. They do make really good naan. The Baingan Bharta is ok. I do love their appetizer - yoghurt kebab, the tandoori corn salad. Do try their gulab jamun for desert it's delicious!! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is they can introduce another vegetarian entree or replace the Dal/ Baingan Bharta with something more elevated!!

Superb. Great experience all around. Food was inventive and perfect. Great cocktails and wine list that pairs perfectly. Best of all a help yourself beer fridge! Glad more NYC trained restauranteurs not just chefs are making the move west. Really going to show the San Fran locals how to run things. Bravo.
