This Samovar is my favorite location for our monthly book clubs because they have seating in the back that works great for large to mid sized groups. It's a quiet spot which works well for discussions. The tea selection caters to every taste--and can be overwhelming the first time you are there. It's always a challenge finding the tea you want. I like the food there too when I want something light and healthy. I've had the Mediterranean platter dish which comes with a tasty hummus and pita.

The more I experience, the more aware I become of the fact that I know very little about this world. I start this review this way because I am new to the tea scene. I came here to meet a friend for a drink of tea and a small bite to eat. What we got was a whole other level of enjoyment that can only be had when you gain knowledge. I had a wonderful tea called the Maiden's ecstasy. It was dark, rich in flavor and yet subtle on the tongue. A complex blend that seemed effortless. I had never had an aged tea before. The food was also a nice surprise. I read that the squash dumplings were a the thing to eat. They were delicious, but the sauce that they come with really compliments the flavors. We also had Moorish service which was delightful! Overall, this is a great place to come for a small dinner and some fantastic tea!

Excellent tea selection. I particularly enjoy the Yunnans and Schizandra Berry. The food is the real winner here. Oh my goodness the jook and paleolithic salad and Japanese tea service are incredible. If you are ever feeling a little hungover or under the weather, a pot of Cacoa Mint and bowl of the tea broth soup with tempeh will set you straight. The quality of the food is excellent and you really get bang for your buck. It's beautiful inside every store!

This is our favorite restaurant in the city. Its the perfect sunday dinner place...not only is the tea and food great, the atmosphere is really relaxing. Its a good way to end the weekend and prepare for the hectic work week. I always get the jook and my wife gets the egg bowl. We also get the squash dumplings which come with this really delicious sauce.

Great little spot for brunch. The Jook with duck was very tasty. Appreciated the ingredients being on the side so I could put in only what I wanted. The tea selection is nice but seem a little pricey. Definitely will be back to try out one of the "Tea Service" options

Tea, small bites, and tea service here are all well prepared with quality ingredients. The tea services pair tea and several foods that all fit a certain theme or place (british, paleo, russian, etc.) Foods here usually combine interesting flavors, such as wasabi ceasar salad. There's always a nice buzz here with a nice noise level and dim but not dark lighting. They sell tea and accessories here, too, which make nice gifts.

Great spot for lunch or afternoon tea. Their masala chai is expensive but it's the best! It's creamy with a lot of flavor. The jasmine lemonade is also delicious. For food I like the quinoa waffle, wasabi ceasar salad, and the duck jook.

why spending +$25 for some tea when you can get a bucket of P&G and enjoy it back home? I completely understand the ritual and everything but I find this place overrated and overexpensive for what they offer. Also, the food is quite minimal and you'd better eat bags of crisps at home before getting here... The decor and service is super, all things said...
