Charlie's is a neighborhood institution, and Charlie himself is a man of the community. An unpretentious, reasonably-priced gem that is a rare breed in SF - one worth supporting! We love to swing by for morning coffee, especially on Fridays when they have their Bernal Bakery pop-up stand.

Nice and friendly neighborhood cafe at Bernal Heights. Makes you feel at home every time. Open until late afternoon. Great place to have breakfast, lunch or just coffee. Good live music on Friday evenings and Saturday noons, well, most of the time.

Charlie's is warm and welcoming. The lovely people who work there and Charlie himself make you feel at home. The coffee is excellent. The bagels are good the sandwiches are kinda just ok. But it is all affordable and made with a smile. I really appreciate the community vibes here and hope to see some menu expansion. I feel like there will be something here I love. Still testing out their vegetarian items. Thanks for keeping it real Charlie's cafe!

I love this place! It's an authentic neighborhood spot right on Precita Park. Charlie is the absolute best, a huge hit with the kids and treats everyone like an old friend. My only wish is that it‘d be open more often. Be sure to try the Turkey Club sandwich!

Fantastic local coffee shop serving up tasty breakfast, sandwiches and middle eastern food. Jazz nights are great too! It's super kid-friendly and the owner Charlie is awesome!
