The Pizza Shop

This place sells very very good pizza. Crisp. Thin. Hot. Stretchy cheese. Well seasoned sauce. I saw the sign outside and decided to give it a try. No regrets. The service was fast and they accept phone payments. This is simply good pizza. The pizza was so good, I went back for more. There's also a perfect health inspection score so rest assured if you're wary about your health.

Fever dreams of childhood spent wandering NJ, from Sandy Hook to Cape May looking for the perfect slice from my perch in Mountainside (Exit 14). The Pizza shop is the perfect slice in the Mission. Crisp, stretchy, approachable and just enough grease to make it feel so good. My new go to when I need some authenticity in the city. Owner is great and highly personable to all walks. I could have been a bus driver, a dad trying to feed his kids something wholesome for less than $20, or the kid from the hood. It didn't matter to him as long as you love pie and connecting with your community. Do yourself a favor and get yourself there.

Finally an East coast pizza place done right! Perfection... I'm from New Jersey and I was so glad I was introduced to the Pizza shop. I'm so picky about my slices and this place hits the spot. I no longer have to freeze pizza and take it back to CA. on a plane. Lol. Thanks for filling a void that SF once had and making my pizza dreams come true. -That cherry pesto combo was new for me and I loved it. See ya soon.

Once was one time too many. Very few toppings and too little sauce. Pizza was dry and who puts thin slices of sausage on a pizza like it’s a school cafeteria? Dough was thin but somehow still tough and chewy at the same time. Can’t speak to the sauce flavor cause I still can’t taste it. Ate it fresh while drinking and it still wasn’t good while hungover, crisped in an air fryer, with extra sauce and ranch added. Maybe they were running low on ingredients or something. All three of us eating it were very confused and no one wanted to take the ample leftovers. Bummer.

One is actually a high score for this experience. We ordered from Uber Eats. We ordered dairy free because my wife is lactose intolerant and the restaurant owner called us. Unfortunately all the tomato sauces have cheese melted in. We asked to cancel and the owner agreed to try. This was all great and we were sorry to miss out on a highly rated SF pizza restaurant that didn't have Michelin 3 star prices. After navigating the Uber Eats dysfunctional web site, we were only able to cancel by logging into the app on a mobile device. Clearly this is made as difficult for as possible by Uber  and there's no way to dispute charges. So we disputed the credit card charges, initially to no avail. Here's the punchline:  Uber misappropriated my $50 bucks without delivery, customer support, dispute processes or minimum ethics standards. I was naive to think the Gig Economy Oligarchy would observe common ethical rules. Maybe Uber can add some new menu suggestions: - the Gotcha pizza - The Uber No Eats pizza 4/6/2022 Update: - I filed a complaint on the Citi Card dispute investigation to the federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and Better Business Bureau. Citi issued a refund after I was able to get copies of my call logs. - I filed a complaint about Uber Eats fraudulent business practices to the California Attorney General. Uber chose to continue fraudulent practices.
