Cool bar, with investing layout. Very industrial, but lots of good light. The menu is extensive with many whiskey options, and mixed drinks with whiskey. There was also wine/beer and other drink options, but did not feel as inspired. Would return, but not as a first choice.

Went on a busy night and was impressed with the bartenders and service. All went super smooth and the drinks were great. Enjoyed catching up with a friend in a lively spot.

Very hipster bar, but very nice. Workers are great at making cocktails. Dimly lit, probably a good place to have a date.

This is definitely one of my favorite bars on Polk St. Great beers, good cocktails, a pool table and plenty of space to hang out with your friends.

I went to Harper and Rye today on Jun 19 2022. I ordered a drink in the bar table. When I saw the bartender putting full glass of ice, I requested him to put less ice. I was shocked that he was so mad and annoyed at me that he did not make my drink. Instead he filled the glass with water and placed the glass rudely in front of me. WOW! SO RUDE! I felt very DISRESPECTFUL. I only told him 'GOD BLESS YOU'. I don't know his name. He was wearing his cap backwards with caption as 'EVAN WILLIAMS' and had short blue jeans. I am not happy to write this review. However, I would kindly request the management to know that no one should be disrespected in your bar this way. Thank you.

A HIDDEN GEM - the bartenders are kind and friendly and service is impeccable. Cocktails are delicious and ambiance is untouched. Cannot wait to be back!

Order some spontaneous cocktails during your visit. Just tell the bar tender what kind of drinks you like, and he will make you something special and palatable to surprise you. I never have a bad experience with the off menu cocktails.
