Common Sage

This tiny little shop is an amazing find. We had lunch here which consisted of a very tasty miso ramen and onigiri for me and bi bim bop for my wife. Aside from the lunch food the store is filled with all manner of Japanese treats many of which I haven't seen since the last time I was in Japan. They also have an amazing sake selection especially for such a small store

Common Sage is my neighborhood Japanese food shop. It was a convenience store before being transformed to a Japanese ramen, rice balls & more shop. I ordered the CS Miso Ramen. The noodles were tender with the perfect amount of elasticity. There were 2 slices of chasu, bits of green onions and bean sprouts. The container was super (!) cool. The tray on the top holds your noodles and fixings. The hot broth below is steaming the ingredients keeping everything warm! Tasty ramen. I’ll come back to try the custom order rice ball next time. Savory snack or meal when on the go or wrapping up at nearby wine bars.
