Pizza Zone Grill

We're on vacation from the South, and California traffic had my nerves so messed up that I tossed my dinner night before last. So, last night we decided to just order in. The kids and I got excellent sushi from next door to the hotel, and we were going to order pizza hut or dominoes for my husband, who has the palate of a toddler. Neither delivers to our Bay-view hotel, oddly enough. We asked the front desk hostess if any local pizza places delivered, and she gave us pamphlets from 2. One is not delivering due to the plague (sad, as it was a pizza & shawarma spot and I totally placed to order some falafel and tabouli, sigh) so... Pizza Zone to the rescue! We called, they assured us they could deliver, AND in 40 minutes or less. They were friendly, helpful, and fast. I ordered an "XL fam size" thinking that would provide him dinner, breakfast, and maybe lunch, even if the kids helped. That monstrosity is the biggest pizza I've ever seen. It was also hot, delicious, extra cheesy, with a hella good crust and piles of meat, and it arrived in under 40 minutes... Which I find superhuman considering the traffic everywhere and construction literally *at* our hotel sidewalk. 10/10, would recommend.

Why does it get 5 stars from a pizza aficionado-ette? Lol The crust to topping ratio is crazy. 10 /10. The crust is stretched impossibly thin and not undercooked!! The cheese gets a little bit of crust as it falls slightly to the side. It's folding pizza on the west coast but better than some east coast places. You can customize a slice with better than average toppings like artichoke. Ridiculously inexpensive for meeting those standards. They have desserts and other stuff that looked like it could fix a craving your meh-about-slice friends have. It's open very late, and doesn't care what type of payment you have. You'll probably want to do carry out but they have a couple tables. The cashier vibe is friendly. There's actually kinda convenient parking.
