Grinders Pizzeria

I spent $24 an an extremely disappointing pepperoni pan pizza. The sauce was flavorless. There was no hint of oregano, tomato flavor, or a anything expect in a good pizza sauce. The flavorless sauce was spread on top of the mozzarella which prevented the cheese from getting that yummy golden color and taste. The crust was ok but overall, in terms of flavor, the pizza was below frozen pizza quality. Go to North Beach or Gioia if you want good San Francisco Pizza.

This will be my second rating for this place. This is the second time I've tried their deep dish supreme Chicago style pizza and I must say it is vastly improved from the first time I tried it. I am going to go as far as saying this: it is the best Chicago style pizza in San Francisco that I've tried thus far, other than Uno pizzeria that has left the city some years ago. There is another place in San Francisco called paxties, I would be lying if I said that their Pizza is not as good as this one I've tried, but the big difference is the price. Paxtie's does not offer a combination deep dish pizza, they will charge you per topping and that really disappointed me to say the least. I have tried them and they are good, as far as quality goes they are as good as grinders pizzeria but they also charge a lot more. That's why I am saying that grinders is the best deep dish pizza in San Francisco and probably the entire Bay area. I have tried a place in Berkeley called Zach's Pizza, Chicago style deep dish. It was good but it was somewhat bland, they did not give pepperoni on the particular Pizza I ordered which probably hurt the overall experience. I would say that grinders is better than they are. I appreciate them being open for business and offering such a quality deep dish pizza for the money they charge. Five stars all the way

Well called around 6:30 to order my pizza from grinders pizza and wanted to give them a try out. I figured it’s Monday night I’m tired from the weekend let me try a new pizza place! Well I placed an order for A large pepperoni pizza and a order of cheese bread!!! The estimated time for delivery was 7:20 so 7:20 comes by and no pizza I call the actual pizza place and they say that the pizza is on the way! Due to me placing it on the app. The pizza finally gets here at 8:00 and it’s a cheese not pepperoni! So for some reason something tells me to check the pizza and thankfully before the delivery driver leaves I stop him and he looked like a deer in headlights. He first said well I guess I can go back and then make you another pizza or whatever and I said well you guys just took a hour and a half to deliver this one mind you my pizza looks like cardboard and is cold like if it was a frozen pizza barely defrosted so I told the pizza driver to take the pizza and just give me my money back. So he gives me my cash and gives me the free cardboard pizza and heads on his way. Maybe better if you go and eat it in could be better then they can’t mess your order. But when it comes to delivery I do not recommend unless you like cold pizza and the incorrect order.
