Hermitage Brewery

A Big Thank you to the Management & Staff at Hermitage for making this evening such an enjoyable experience! It was their first day of opening (their taproom, i.e.) since the lockdown earlier this year. We were required to have our masks on while ordering. The seating area was spacious and the tables were adequately separated. The staff sanitizes the table before you are seated and there is a big bottle of hand sanitizer on every table. As for the beer, needless to say , they have their good old choice of 22 beers as before (pre-Covid). The crowd was great with everyone following the masking and social distancing guidelines. There was a taco truck too. Overall, a great experience!

We heard about Hermitage Brewery while eating @ the Wine Cellar Restaurant in Los Gatos, Ca. The waiter suggested trying one of their beers- Maltopia. It's one of my favorites. It's now called "Feel the Heid" or something like that. Anyway, to find this place. Off of S 7th st enter the chain link entrance. You'll see the Hermitage sign on it. Drive all the way to the end and you'll see the large tank fermenter on your left. They have several picnic tables to enjoy your beer outside too. The friendly bartender was very helpful. We told her it was our first time visiting but not our first time drinking one of Hermitage's beer. She was very patient with and gave us some suggestions. We tried a few but I stuck with "Feel the Heid". They don't serve food but I heard they have food trucks park here sometimes. Side note : Caliva is just around the corner too. Which is a cannabis dispensary! Great idea! A cannabis store next to a brewery! That's another review! 😂

Isacc is an incredible bartender and made me feel like family here. played darts for the first time with some of the crew there as well and they were all great too. Also lots of higher APV beers that are mighty tasty and a handful of sours if you are into that. they also have board games if that is more your style. If I lived up in SJ this would be a hang out for me.

I came to Hermitage in my quest to try all breweries in the area. They have a smallish tap room, but they have delicious beers. Definitely go for the flight i you're up for tasting a bunch of brews. Unlike the other breweries I visited in San Jose, this brewery seemed to be less social with less chatty beertenders and less chatty patrons.

One of the better breweries here in San Jose. It has a great open atmosphere and the people here are always helpful and friendly, only reason its not 5 stars is when this place gets busy its hard to find parking andthe dont have enough of a seating area. But that hardly happens unless people come in big groups. No food is served here bit they do have the occasional food truck.

This place has some of the best beers in San Jose. Brewery does both IPAs and sours which is hard to find. The place has indoor and outdoor seating and allows dogs on the premise. The brewery doesn't serve food but there is often a food truck out front serving Mexican food. Great place to go after work or on the weekend.
