The Breakfast Place

Nice quiet neighborhood greasy spoon (for those old enough to know what this means). Reasonably priced. Revisited 3/3/22. I have been out of state for a long while and found myself in the old neighborhood. I decided to try the Breakfast Place again. Same people, same interior and same food. Unfortunately the prices have escalated to the same as Bill's, Holders and Bill of Fare. I don't know if it is worth the price. The food is much better at the other places for the same money. June 2022. Went by and saw that the restaurant is closed permanently.

I always loved this place since they opened and taking my 92 y.o. Aunt. We love the juevos rancheros. My son loves the basic breakfast with french toast and bacon. We stopped eating out after covid but really look forward to trying it again, especially now since the new renovations. I always thought it was a great breakfast place that not a lot of people knew about. Everyone I sent there became permenant fans and that was before the publicity. I'm so glad they survived the covid times!

Wonderful find! A real hidden gem. My family has been looking for a good breakfast spot and, finally, we've found it. The food was great and the menu had a number of things we all would have liked to try. The staff are warm, friendly, and make you feel at home. This is a fantastic family friendly place that will definitely have us back again.

Love this place! I join friends for breakfast here every Saturday. I've tried a variety of the menu options and I usually have the very tasty buckwheat pancake instead of toast. Friendly, caring & efficient owner and crew make the experience great! Update after Restaurant Impossible was here: still great food and lovely staff, all prettied up! Tried the avocado toast by Robert Irvine. Unique and delicious!!!

The place was very quiet and I really enjoyed that you can see the kitchen at work. I was greeted immediately and the waitress made sure I was taken care of. I ordered the meat lovers omelette and I felt it was too dry with not enough cheese. However, the toast, hash browns and coffee were amazing. When I came in another gentlemen who was a veteran came in and when he asked if they had a discount the waitress paused a moment . It seemed that even if they did not she was going to provide for this gentleman anyway. That is beautiful customer service. I will be back.
