Fantastic Bar in downtown San Jose. Really helpful bartender, fun and simple menu and great variety of liquors (esp Whiskeys). Highly recommend the Whiskey Apple and Greyhound!
Fun fact: Cash only bar has a juke box that says “Cash Only” that only contains Johnny Cash music :)

Fantastic bar. Visited during stay in San Jose from UK for Sharks game. Close to arena. Bar staff are brilliant and cocktails were best we’ve had on our trip to date. The ‘Whiskey Apple’ is essential!

Such a sweet little place to grab a drink. It has a divey feel with a very stylish schwing to it. Jesse was my bartender and she was absolutely amazing. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Been here a couple of times now and the cocktails never disappoint. Tried whiskey apple (freshly squeezed!), daiquiri, highball, frozen irish coffee and sazerac so far, and the red beer comes with a lager + V8 tomato juice & spicy sauces. Ambience is elegant and never as crowded as the neighboring places. Being cash only is a catch, but you can get some in the atm and prices are lower. They got an inner room with pool table as well. Staff is attentive and parking is close by in a structure or on street.

I love this place! This is a perfect dive bar that everyone should visit. As the name says it's strictly cash only. The bartender's are great, the drinks simple but amazing, I recommend the whiskey apple. Besides that a great bar to go to for of course drinks but the atmosphere as well. Very relaxed and friendly. I'll see you all there! 😎🍺🍻

Great bar with a laid back attitude. I recommend the frozen Irish coffee or apple whiskey.

Really cool bar with an old school vibe/Johnny Cash vibe - it's also not just a clever name it is in fact cash only . Real good tasty drinks and pool tables in the back. Super fun bathrooms too -

Consistency is key, uniqueness makes you stand out, and cash only means cash only….this place hits the mark on consistency, uniqueness, and their name. Cool honkeytonk style bar in Downtown SJ with friendly neighborhood vibes….and the whiskey apple is just that over ice, and hella bomb. Highly recommended.

What do you get when you turn a Hawaiian local into a San Jose original? A west coast honkytonk bar. Cache has brought San Jose another original. This will be your spot to come hang out, play pool, drink GREAT drinks and just have fun. I will certainly be back.
